We spent four nights at the Gradlon, in the middle of January, and had a great time there, starting with a greeting by their resident English bulldog, Lorde. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our reservation was handled efficiently and checkout was easy. We sprung for one of the suites, and feel we received good value for what we paid....

The Three Star Hotel Gradlon is brilliantly located for strolling around Old Quimper's beautiful buildings, huge cathedral and all its tourist restaurants. Creperies abound but if you need an alternative Cafe L'Elee is close by for a more sumptuous dinner. Hotel Gradlon has interesting decor a bar and continental breakfast is available for an additional 12 Euros per person. Our...

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Comfortable, good internet and very close to the historic part of town. Clean and homely with tea making facilities in room. The ensuite was good. The only downside was dragging the cases up the stairs.

Not sure when we arrived as welcome from reception was muted. The rooms where well appointed and the breakfast crew new how to put on the perfect continental breakfast, great quality and plenty to eat. Felt sorry for the poor terrapin in a half filled tank. Great central location and would stay again especially if the reception team tried a bit...

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Quimper but the male staff let the side down with their failure to break into a smile or show any interest in their guests. The resident dog was more friendly and hats off to the woman who slaved away at breakfast and during the day, cleaning the rooms whilst her male...

Easy to find, private garage for parking was perfect. I think the hotel maybe going through a refit. Our room was beautifully decorated and a lovely size. The bathroom was lovely but the separate toilet was not built for tall people! Our room looked on to the internal courtyard. The greeting when we arrived was very nice and there was...

First impressions are most important and this place really dropped the ball on that score. Perhaps if we had been greeted by a desk clerk who at least pretended to be pleased we chose to stay in his hotel we would have been able to overlook its numerous shortcomings. But instead, the fellow who checked us in was not only...

We walked in off the street and were happy to get a room for a night. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We did meet the bulldog as mentioned in a previous review but did not find him aggressive or over effusive in his attentions (obviously we were not that interesting). Again I have found out after reading...

This was a last minute find for us. The location is great, a short walk to the cathedral and the center of town, although the neighborhood itself is quite rundown with many vacant buildings. The hotel had no available parking and so we had to park on the street, but that turned out to be okay and we saved 10€....

We stayed at the Hotel Gradlon during the heat wave in July 2016. Thank goodness for air conditioning. We had a great time walking through the old town square. The local museums were fabulous and it was interesting to see the history of Brittany. One night we were returning from the old town square and went in to the cathedral to...
