We just spent four nights in the Hotel. The hoteliers were helpful English speakers. The room was very clean and very quiet. This is not a chain, but a reasonably priced local place. A short walk to downtown, it is very convenient. The 8 Euro breakfast was plentiful and nourishing.

Arrived at the hotel the man at the reception was very welcoming and spoke very good English for us. He took us to our room which was out in a court yard. It was beautiful and very quaint. The room was lovely very homely. We walked into the centre of Dinan which took us only 5 minutes. In the morning...

We arrived at this little hotel for the second time, and was greeted by a polite, helpful man with a big fluffy dog. He took our bags to the room, and it was on the top floor, with a nice view outside. It only took us about a minute to get to the town, and the man showed us all...

This was our second time at the Hotel de la Porte de St. Malo. It is ideally located for a short walk to the activities. Our hosts were dressed in medieval costumes as were many of the guests ourselves included. This gave us free access to most of the activities. We were in the garden bedroom which is lovely and...

This comfortable and stylish hotel is so close to the Porte Saint-Malo that it's almost like being inside but without the parking restrictions that you might otherwise encounter. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent, including the excellent home-made confiture made by the patron. A magnificent hydrangea in the garden just outside our window added a...

This wonderful gem of a hotel is nestled in a neighborhood just outside the hustle and bustle (but comfortable walking distance) of Dinan. We had booked a smaller room but they upgraded us to a slightly larger room since they had availability. The room was neatly decorated and very clean. Wifi was a little spotty but we didn't come to...

We stayed 3 nights as part of a trip through Brittany and Normandy and enjoyed this small hotel immensely. Our garden room was simple and small but the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. My fears that smoking might ruin the garden setting did not eventuate. But the other real joy was a superb breakfast of fresh fruit,...

My wife and I were traveling in France with our two adult sons. We had a two day hole in our itinerary between the Loire Valley and Normandy. We found that Hotel de la Porte Saint-Malo met our needs perfectly, as it isn't easy to find affordable rooms for four adults. The room was clean and spacious, with a window...

I stayed in the one of the small, but well decorated and very clean, garden rooms of this 19 room hotel, situated in the old town area of Dinan. The hotel is comprised of five old homes that have been combined to make the hotel. Street parking is limited, but available. Request a ground-floor room if stairs are a problem...

This small hotel was well situated in this great town. It was easy walking distance to all the sites. The room was comfortable and the bath large and modern. Parking was on the street and breakfast was not included, but the price was good and the hosts were very friendly.
