Having stayed in Dinan at a large hotel chain, I found this little gem of a hotel when I was seeking a cheap breakfast. It is really well priced with comfortable en-suite rooms. I have to visit Dinan a lot to see family and this is the perfect bolt hole for me - Claudine and Pascal look after me and...

We liked Chambre 2, a simple room in a 19th century building, with a window facing the river where pleasure boats tie up. The hotel is in a quiet spot on the river. An old street (Rue du Petit Fort) leads uphill to the historic center of Dinan. Good restaurants are nearby along the river. This hotel is operated like...

Lovely host and excellent value for money - spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, and the most beautiful view of the Rance just outside the window ! Typically French in style, lovely old building which retains much of its original quirkiness, simple, small and beautiful! Thank you and see you again soon 😊

We stopped here for lunch and thought we would enjoy the river view with fish and chips. Worst meal we have had in 4 weeks of travel. Fish looked like it was out of a cardboard box and once we cracked the hard outside we found watery, mushy fish inside. Tasteless. They provided table water but when we went to...

Stayed at la papillon yesterday, back home now and miss it terribly the location was to die for and the staff so helpful and friendly! The continental breakfasts are amazing but if you like your fry ups they will accommodate! Love it there was so comfortable I feel asleep within minutes! Must have been a mixture of the clean air...

we stayed here for one night during October 2013 at a b&b rate 55€ . The hotel has a small bar and terrace for drinks but, other than a very straightforward (but adequate) breakfast, was not offering meals during our brief stay. The room over-looked the quayside which has convenient car-parking and fronts the quiet and attractive river Rance, with...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August and had a great positive experience. The owners were charming and even opened early on our last morning to enable us to have breakfast before our long ride home. We tried in our broken French and were rewarded! Our room was clean, reasonably sized and quiet with an en-suite....

What a gem!!! In the charming - and not too touristic - "Port" area of Dinan, this a find I am almost loath to share. Perfection is only avoided by the bar/bistro being closed in the evenings, but the warm hospitality of Monsieur Le Patron and Madam cannot be bettered in all the places we've visited in Brittany and Normandy....

This small bar with rooms is exactly that. The owners are lovely and my husband and I had a warm welcome. The rooms are clean, the linen is clean and we only stayed for 2 nights and the bed was made and towels tidied after the first night - sometimes you can not get that in an expected and expensive...

Decided to stop for lunch at restaurant and ordered fish and chips x 2 for my husband and myself it was very poor. The fish appeared to be cooked from frozen like a giant orange fish finger - there was minimal fish it was off a poor standard. The waiter was okay but hovered around us whilst we ate. The...
