We stayed in family room, which was perfect for us, since we traveled with two children (3 and 1 year). Location is amazing, breakfast had everything you need, lots of local food. It is way better than average 3 stars hotel. We had a great time and we will come back for sure.
Stopped here for an excellent lunch cycling from Bled to Bohinj. Fantastic service from the guy who recommended various dishes, and chatted about his time travelling around other countries driving. (Thanks very much, sorry we forgot your name!)
Šport-hotel is the best hotel on Pokljuka. It is the only hotel with long tradition between woods. It has three stars at the entrance and this is it. Rooms are not big, reception is simple, and parking is near the entrance. This is not a place for snobs. It is a hotel for sportsmen, for mountaineers, for people connected with nature. Rooms are clean, breakfast and dinner is decent. Service is not always first class but they try to be kind to each guest. You can rent a bike, use a gym and find drinks in a bar. Nearest open restaurant is awful, so stay in the hotel or on the hotel garden. Hotel is convenient for families with small children. Village Goreljek has no additional tourist services. You can pick mushrooms, walk around the pastures or climb to the mountains. REnting a bike is good idea.…
I stayed here for 4 nights as was keen to venture to some of the main attractions in the Triglavski National Park. It is located a 20 minute drive to Lake Bled and 30 mins to Lake Bohinj. I like my hiking and there is a hiking trail to Debela Pec which you can start at the hotel, there are other hiking and bike routes nearby. The scenery around the hotel is fantastic and it is in a quiet unique location. The double room was a little on the small side but had a balcony and there was a good selection of food for breakfast. The staff were very friendly helpful and accommodating. The only downside is the lack of alternative restaurants in the vicinity meaning I paid the extra 15€ per meal for the 4 nights, not complaining as the buffet was very good and all you can eat but this may be off putting to visitors who like to eat somewhere different each night. All in all a very pleasant stay. …
I booked the hotel for one night as I was doing winter hikes on the nearby peaks. The hotel and personnel working there was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel has modern interior offering a nice cozy feeling. It is a family oriented hotel, offering quite some possibilities for the families to spend a nice time not only outdoor, but also indoor. There was corner set for creativity activities, there are games and even a gym where kids had a small cinema set to watch a movie. It was very nice atmosphere in the evening with families chatting, kids playing. The hotel has also a sauna, which was a great way to relax after the whole day of winter hiking. The personnel working there is very kind, helpful and motivated to offer a nice time to the visitors. Their English language was very good. The food was surprisingly good too in particular breakfast which was more like a 4-star hotel breakfast buffet. For instance soya, rice milk and gluten free options were available. Overall, this is a really nice 3-star family oriented hotel in the midst of a beautiful forest. …
