I booked as it was about right for an overnight stay traveling from Tours to Bielsa in Spain. Arrived at La Flambee about 6 o'clock very tired, to a charming and friendly reception. The room was excellent and very quiet, perfect for the sleep we needed before continuing our journey. The hotel gardens are absolutely gorgeous, with various animals wandering... More

The restaurant has an excellent cost/benefit ratio! We had a delicious dinner with high quality food and we just payed 20 euros per person (with a delicious lemon pie shared)! The ambience is also pleasant, charming and surrounded by nature. We had a very good time there!

We arrived in Bergerac and rather than begin a long car journey we opted to stay a night just outside the pretty town. The hotel staff were very welcoming and as both the receptionist and I were not fluent in the other's language we used hand gestures and much smiling to get us by. The building and surrounding area are... More

This is the first place we ate in once we arrived in Bergerac. We had been on the go since 4.40am and skipped breakfast so after a short walk from our b&b we arrived at La Flambee. our hostess recommended it for a delicious traditional French lunch and we were very impressed. On arrival at the converted farmhouse you will... More

An absolutely delicious meal, so much so I came back again during my short stay in Bergerac. Great service provided here, English menu available and the staff were able to speak English too. A 20 minute walk from the center of Bergerac but it was well worth it. Had the steak with magical potato gratin.

My husband booked us a table to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary in December. Thankfully I wore a jumper and cardigan and I was still cold - it's an open, drafty place. The place was dead except for two families with unruly children. They were allowed to run about yelling and play in the ladies toilet putting the roll of... More

Great food, lovely setting. Very nice and helpful staff, they didn't bat an eye given our very boisterous group, tried to help us with the menu. Would eat here again - one of our best meals during our 2 week vacation to southern France.

This was a good spot for us... A night to break a journey. We have two children under 13 and the interconnecting room in the annexe was good, in principle... The bathrooms where very smart. The rooms, sadly, weren't. A lick of paint and some new mattresses are needed, as are more courteous dog owners. Both rooms smelt of dog... More

We stopped overnight at La Flambee en route to a holiday rental in Massugas and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel staff were charming and courteous, they allowed me to practise my very rusty French on them and always claimed to understand me! The hotel is set in beautiful grounds (they even have goats!) and consists of a... More
