This hotel is so beautiful, the room simple and very comfortable- perfect hotel to experience Biarritz in. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, they’ve got coffee and tea ready to go when you arrive. The interior is beautifully done, old charm with bold statements. The location is very central, close to the bus stop and the market, ocean and the city centre is a 5 min downhill walk. I will definitely be staying here again, can’t wait!
Had a fantastic stay here, if you like small, well run hotels in buildings with character and wonderful staff you will love this hotel. The rooms are very nice, with a Nespresso, afternoon coffee is served in the lovely communal area of a drawing/sitting room, dining room, conservatory and small balcony… The staff were great and made the stay even more pleasant. Its also very close the the shops, centre and great cafes and restuarants.
Very pleased with our ejoyable stay here. The old villa has been beautifully modernised, but has still kept it's old charm. Very well situated, only a few minutes walk from the town centre & beaches. All the staff couldn't have been more accomodating, always pleasant and courteous. Room was comfortable and excellently maintained. We were provided with a fan to help cool the room during the mini heatwave of our October stay. Excellent buffet breakfast with enough choices to satisfy anybody. No private car park, but spaces readily accessible in the surrounding streets. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Biarritz is an expensive town - we couldn't find a lot of choices below EUR200 per night, but luckily we came across Edouard VII. Location cannot be more perfect. Short walk to town centre, beaches and tons of restaurants. It's a charming house with local history but updated with modern decor. Room is renovated and cool (powerful air-con), bed is very soft and comfortable, fast wifi, front desk staff couldn't be more friendly. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment but seems to be reasonably-priced. However we didn't like the bathroom design at all. Door is heavy, creaky and the sink non-existent and not practical to use. Overall it's a nice and comfortable hotel, I'd recommend for a short stay.
We had a very pleasant weekend break at this hotel. Its in a great spot with a short walk to both the beach and the town centre. I liked the decor it was a little quirky. It was very clean, staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend
This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable, spacious room and great bathroom. Everything was nice, the friendly staff and a great local breakfast! Close to everything, near the indoor market and 2 minutes walk from the beach . Highly recommend. I will definetly come back !
Relaxed, peaceful hotel in leafy neighbourhood within easy walking distance of all amenities but away from the tourist area. High ceilings, comfortable airy rooms with everything you need. Lovely breakfast, conservatory and lounge area with view of garden.
We stayed here for two weeks. The room was very comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. They serve a delicious buffet breakfast. For those visiting Biarritz, we would definitely recommend Hotel Edouard VII.
The hotel is really charming in a residential area and just five minutes walk to the excellent fresh food market and where all the restaurants are. And then the ocean is just a further 5 minutes from there. The hotel is beautiful inside. Really old and tastefully decorated. Our room was large with high ceiling and lovely big windows. It was a little noisy as there is quite a lot of through traffic. Front desk staff were a tad nonchalant. However, breakfast was great and total experience was really nice! Would definitely stay again!
We stayed here for 3 nights in a family room. The room was very comfortable, bunks for the kids, a KS bed for us, and a spacious bathroom. The staff are helpful and friendly, especially Laura. You can easily walk to the beach, shops and market. It’s a 7 minute taxi ride to/from the station (~€17) or if you fancy the walk it will take you about 20/25 minutes (though it is uphill from the station). They serve a delicious buffet breakfast in the dining room (€13 adult and €7 child). If visiting Biarritz again would definitely stay at Hotel Edouard VII.
