My husband, 3 year old son and I, spent 3 nights at this hotel, after seeing it advertised on TA at a special flash sale price of 138€ for a family room, for 3 nights including breakfast. The average rate for one night is usually around 180€, so this was an excellent offer. The hotel is located in a very nice location, very close to the beach, as well as to the heart of Biarritz, all reachable within 5 mins walk. The room was very clean on arrival, check in was fast and efficient, the wifi was good ( although we had to phone reception to ask for the codes). Minus points: the windows can't be opened, which wouldn't have been a problem had the a/c been working properly, but wasn't: even on the lowest setting, it was quite warm in the room. Not uncomfortably so, but could be an issue for some people. Also, the buffet breakfast was quite nice, with a good variety of hot/ cold options, but not as good or as varied as you could expect it to be at a 4 star hotel. For example, the scrambled eggs were barely warm, and got cold very quickly; the toaster was difficult to use; the pastries were industrial.... Finally, if you have a car, it's 20€ a day to park it on the hotel site. We were lucky to find a free spot in an adjacent street, but couldn't help notice that free parking spaces are few and far between. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely go back, but only if we can secure a similar deal, not paying full price. Although this is a very nice hotel in an excellent location, if you are used to 4 star hotels, I think that you'll probably find this one to be falling a bit short of the high standards that you would normally expect if you are paying premium prices for a superior level of luxury and comfort. If, however, you can find a special deal, it's unbeatable value.

Disappointed with the poor state of the room (curtains with holes, stains in the wall , electric cables coming out of the bed cabinet). Also no wifi during the stay despite hotel saying technician was on his way and would fix it asap. I informed the agent of the above on check out and all he said that he was going to report this to his management. Stay away from this place until they do serious refurbishment work.

First the good points- good location, the rooftop bar & pool are really good. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The bad points- the decor is very dated, it must be 20 years since last refresh, probably more. Apparently ‘because of COVID’ the room was cleaned only every three days. Not so nice for sheets, towels etc. When we first arrived the room was dirty- hairs everywhere that didn’t belong to us, surfaces sticky. The bathroom was in a poor state - cracked tiles (room 203) poor repair. The rooftop restaurant has a good view but the food is pretty basic. The price is still the same - 300euros a night for ‘standard’ / basic in summer for what is youth hostel quality. Also - I guess because of COVID, the onyx resto is shut. We didn’t take a breakfast because it looked like a school canteen on a tray. The spa is also shut. Not very good. Be wary before you book.

Booked 2 rooms directly with the hotel, one premium, one standard. "Premium" room had partial sea view, but was somewhat old, with a bathroom badly maintained (amateur silicon, plaster and tile work around the bath). But the worse was the cleaning of the room (including bedsheet and towel changes), which was only done every 3 days (we were told this was due to Covid): for us (parents) this meant only once during a 6night stay; as for the children, their room was never cleaned (we had to borrow them a roll of toilet-paper for the last evening!). To add insult to injury, the hotel charges 30 euros a day for parking. None of these conditions were mentioned during the booking process. Bad customer practices. If you want your room done, best is to stay only one night !!!!
