I feel that being told the only room with " a sea view" was a family room at 333 euros per night would have been ok if we had a sea view ie floor to ceiling windows . Not good value at all. Also only 1 shared toilet for men ladies and disabled people for the whole of the restaurant on the 5th floor is a joke.

Checked in quickly after a very long and difficult journey. Our room was on the second floor and it was huge, along with a huge bathroom. We had a great view of the sea which was nice. Everywhere was spotless and the towels were a good quality. We didn't take breakfast, so unable to comment on that. There was always fresh cold water available at reception along with green apples. Pool towels are available from reception and the pool is on the roof terrace along with the restaurant, with outstanding views. Every member of staff that we came across were lovely and always helpful. However there were a few issues, the place is looking tired round the edges and the air con needs to be looked at. All in all though, we had a wonderful holiday.

Good hotel with all the facilities one would require. A little faded here and there but good value for money. Location good as the stroll into town to bars and restaurants was very easy. Some bar staff not always very knowledgeable but were friendly and civil. Hot food at breakfast not to my taste but quality looked fine. All in all a very suitable hotel for my groups base on a golfing holiday.

We’ve stayed at this hotel many times due to its location. However as pointed out by others this Blu is in need of investment. My pictures show the state of the bathroom of a Premium Room with water leaking from under the shower screen, severely damaged paintwork and a window frame that looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned or repainted in many years. We were there two nights and there were ants all over the breakfast buffet where the pancakes and maple syrup sit. Hopefully they were not in the food. The fruit choice at breakfast was weak compared to buffets at other Blu’s like Nantes, Leeds and Cape Town. I complained on the first day about the ants but they were still there on the second day. I pointed it out to the staff again. Plus points are location, the rooftop bar and pool, and many (but not all) of the staff. Public areas are fine.

I have been coming to this hotel for the last 10 years and in that time there has been an almost complete lack of renovation. This leaves many rooms with stained carpets, old mattresses, damaged furniture(see fotos). The halls are also dilapidated in many spots. This is a 4 star hotel and it’s about time that the owner invests the money necessary to maintain that level. The staff and location are excellent.
