Very nice lunch at @JarDin of this hotel, we ordered 2 fish dishes. The taste is surprisingly good. Food is very flavourful. They need someone can make drink in the bar then the whole experience will be perfect. First time to drink sangria with no red wine tastes like pure soda . 0 star for the drink . 4.5 stars for food and lovely service.
My husband and I like to visit Biarritz any time we possibly can, but much to his chagrin, I left him at home this time to bring my best friend instead. She’d never visited Biarritz before and I thought Hôtel de Silhouette was perfect to stay near my beloved Les Halles and be a short walk to the beach. It’s an absolutely lovely hotel in a perfect location and the garden is a wonderful spot to take a break in the shade with a glass of wine. For these things alone, I’d stay here again. Our room, however, was odd and NOT one I’d get again when staying with a friend even a best friend. We were at the end of the hall and had one window that opened up to the not-so-lovely smell of exhaust from the drive nearby so it stayed shut, which made it stuffy even with the air con on. I liked the tiny sitting room with the TV because it gave a place to go when my friend was in the shower - thanks for asking, why would I need to do that? Because the shower room is literally open to the bedroom and for no reason (the photo I attached is the view directly into the shower from the main room). They could easily put privacy glass or a curtain or maybe even go so far as a sliding door shutting off the bathroom...but there was nothing. Aside from the awkwardness, an open shower is also just drafty. Just...odd. Aside from that, I didn’t exactly love that we’d stored our luggage in the luggage closet for the afternoon before our flight and when we came back a few hours later, it was all sitting next to the reception desk for no reason I could quite understand. Again, just odd. Despite that, it is a nice-looking hotel in a great area and with a peaceful garden to take a break in so I’d give it another try. In a different room!…
Charming hotel in the heart of the city! Excellent location and close to everything. 15 min by taxi from the train station, 1/2h walk to the bus station, 5 min walk to the beach . Very friendly staff (especially Kati), great room service, clean room, comfortable beds and nice bedding and fluffy towels. The only negative is that our window was right outside of the garden patio and ppl would stay and talk loud (late in the eve) and smoke would fill the room, I would pref to have my windows open when it’s nice and breezy outside. Overall beautiful property that we highly recommend.
I love the Silhouette - right across the street from the Halles, which is the main market, and it's grouping of excellent restaurants. Although my room was small and without a view, I didn't mind because it was quiet and the sleep was excellent. And I spent most of my time on the beach, in the shops, or reading in the beautiful garden of the hotel. The staff are wonderful, and so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, especially the bread. The hotel is a quick 10-15 minute drive to the main Biarritz train station, and a really quick stroll to the large surfer beach (which is excellent for swimming too at low tide), but also very close to the small beach and the swimming beach. I loved the shopping in Biarritz, and the hotel has a super cheese shop nearly opposite, an espadrille shop next to the entrance, and wonderful delicatessens all around. Highly recommended. It is possible to have a view from the higher floors, but I'd be sure to call the hotel in advance to ensure you have that booked, and it will be a view of the ocean (it's a middle-of-town hotel, not right on the beach). That said, it's great for returning after dinner because it's close to all the main restaurant locations.…
While visiting Biarritz we found the restaurant in one of the busy streets of Biarritz. A hidden restaurant attached to a boutique hotel. We had our lunch on the terrace with the garden view, apart from the noisy street. The meal was good and the staff friendly.
