Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on recent trip to Biarritz. Location was great. Easy to get around everywhere by foot. Annie, the lady on reception was especially helpful, welcoming and friendly giving advice on where to go and also where to catch public transport back to airport. If you catch the bus from the airport its only €1... More

This hotel is well located, near shops, restaurants and within 150 meters of the small beach. We were made welcome by the manager, Annie and we had a street facing room on the 3rd floor. There is a lift, the room was very fresh, modern and the bedroom was spacious. Ensuite had a shower, toilet and basin and was compact... More

I had an awful experience at this hotel a few nights ago. I woke up at 2:00am to find my bed crawling with bed bugs. But this review isn't so much about the bed bugs, but about the reaction and treatment by the hotel management. Given this hotel is not staffed overnight, I waited (wide awake) until 6:00 am to... So nice ! Everything's walking distance - sun, sea, surf -- all the fab restaurants the old port and a few late night bars. Most importantly for my girlfriend was that the owner was Danish and thus the bathroom, room design, etc were all excellent We loved it. Value fine. Didn't try the breakfast - but you're so close to... More

Hotel is ok. Rooms are small but cosy. Right in the city center which is great, you don't need a car or a cab to visit Biarritz. However note that the check-in is super early - 11am. Was very surprised by that and the staff was very pushy to get you out of the hotel (but was otherwise very nice... More

Very well located just minutes away from the beach and city centre. Staff was super helpful at check in and helped us book a restaurant and the wifi which didn't work at first (but then worked well). Newly refurbished and very nicely designed. Parking isn't easy when in high-season, luckily we came during low season. It is also a bit... More

Le Saphir is a small, boutique hotel, only 200 meters from Biarritz' sandy, swimming beach. Clean, comfortable, excellent value, and a small staff that is warm, helpful, and truly gets the meaning of "hospitality." In a quiet, older section of town that is only a few minutes' walk from the heart of Biarritz.

This is a lovely little hotel in the heart of the old town. You will not find a better location! It's only 150m from the beach and about the same from the centre of the town. I was travelling on my own and I found this invaluable. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The only... More

This place is a gem! We had a room with a big balcony and chairs, looking out onto local restaurants and bars. The room was very clean. The hotel is ideally placed for the beach and restaurants. If you're a light sleeper- ask for a room at the back of the hotel- the night time noise from the restaurants may... More

We had booked the wrong date, we arrived, hotel was half empty, I showed my booking, they simply told us we had made a mistake, it was too late, they had charged the credit card and refused to host us! I faced this situations 2 times already, both times hotel found a solution. The hotel is well located, seems ok,... More
