Great hotel, had all the right things and we enjoyed our stay. Room was small and a little noisy but was suitable. Ubers can not get to the hotel so was a long walk with bags on cobblestone. Will definitely be back.
A very funky hotel indeed. Great location within walking distance of most key places. Rooms spacious , however could do we some extra attention to cleaning in certain areas, bathrooms a little dusty and needing touch ups in places. The bar and restaurant area are very busy and lively in the evenings, really quirky. Food is amazing here. Reception has a cabinet for sex toys for sale so not really a place for children. Roof top bar only for use in season when the weather permits. Have been here twice now and would return.
Lovely well informed staff, great location - but what is it trying to be? Lots of respectable couples looking baffled at the desperate attempt to be hip. (masks on the pillows argh!). Our room (a medium twin), was tiny and bizarrely laid out - lavatory and shower in one bit wash basin and sink and microwave in another bit. Clothes rail too short for clothes (and I'm 5ft 1in)nowhere to put anything really.. The good news is the shower stopped working and we were immediately upgraded and given a free cocktail - great service. It wasn't a disaster - it was clean and well run and a fabulous location but I'd rather stay somewhere with rooms which were less like a school dormitory. Oh and the windows didn't open so it was really hot and stuffy in the first room. Loved the rooftop bar as well.…
The receptionist is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. The bedroom is small but fully furnished and comfortable, the restaurant on the ground floor is quite good. "Mama love you from head to toe" !!
Stayed here on an unseasonably-warm autumn weekend so the roof-top bar was a great bonus. The guys who checked us late at night in were super friendly, which is always the initial test by which I measure a stay. The room - can't remember what category I had but it wasn't the smallest - seemed a weird design with the bed in the middle of the room which wasted space. So overall it was really good, but a couple of things. It's great to have dim lighting in the restaurant at night but seriously please turn them up a bit for breakfast. We were literally groping around in the dark, even though we sat by a window. And on our floor, the corridors all looked over a central courtyard, but all the blinds were pulled down all day which made everything really dark. How about someone rolls them up every now and again...we're not all vampires. It's not as if there any privacy issues because no bedrooms face the courtyard. But overall a good stay and would recommend to friends.…
