As a first time traveler to Bordeaux our time at Le Boutique Hotel was impeccable, flawless, and memorable from start to finish. First, Hollie, Paul and the entire from desk staff were always pleasant and welcoming no matter when you talked with them. Paul and Hollie would always engage and greet you as you were walking inside or outside the hotel if they saw you. The mark of a great staff is that they greeted you by name every time you came into the hotel, and they genuinely wanted to know how your day was going and if there was anything they could do for you. The rooms....impeccable. Even with smaller European rooms we had plenty of space to store all of belongings for a 7 day stay. We had zero issue with closet space. The bed was also the most comfortable bed that we had in a very long time, and we continue to talk about how we miss the bed. The shower was great having both a rain shower head and a handheld wand. Water pressure was great, as there was plenty of water pressure. A very nice touch for this time of year was that the air conditioning in the room worked!! Most hotels in Europe would have it off at this point. Bonus points for the hotel!! The cleaning staff for the rooms were also incredible as they kept the rooms well put together. Having the mini fridge stocked well, and the daily replenishment of the water was very nice. Wine in the evening was excellent!! Selection was solid, albeit slightly overpriced. Breakfast was perfection. The smoked trout in the morning is beyond delicious, and the other assorted offerings far exceeded expectations. You are missing a treat if you skip breakfast.....make sure you have breakfast at the hotel!! All in all we miss being with Hollie, Paul and the team. We cannot wait to come back. If you are in Bordeaux, this is the place to stay!!

Hotel's Favorite
The Boutique Hotel is in the western part of downtown in a bustling, active neighborhood. The hotel itself is housed in a finely restored mansion and is wine-focused, with rooms named after famous chateaus. The historic mansion is filled with centuries of rich history. It was here that Count Pierre-Denis de Peyronnet was born, a famous notable from Bordeaux who was a minister under Louis XVIII and then Charles X. The opposition seized the property during the French revolution. After the war, kings returned, and the Peyronnet mansion became a favorite hangout of France’s top literary giants, including Victor Hugo and Alphonse de Lamartine. Rooms are upscale with stone walls and parquet floors. The furniture has been designed by top French designers. The stone courtyard has been planted with several French grape varietals. This five-star hotel has twenty-nine rooms, loaded with all the modern upgrades, technology, WIFI, Italian showers and jacuzzi tubs, and air conditioning (something not always found in humid, balmy Bordeaux). The modern bathrooms are stocked with Hermès brand welcome products, and nothing has been left out to ensure that guests are comfortable and happy. My room was exceptionally exquisite, located on a top floor with a private terrace and outdoor bathtub. The terrace had an exceptional view of Bordeaux rooftops and cathedrals in the distance. Many of the old buildings were reminiscent of buildings in New Orleans.

Amazingly great hotel staff: welcoming, helpful, warm, smiling, aiming to make stay and trip better. Rooms excellent, well located, nice sized! Only areas to improve: 1. Hair dryer very weak (and old); 2. With no bar of soap, must check volume remaining in bath gel dispenser because we ran out last morning and used the tub solution instead; 3. Need to add washcloths; 4. Nice to have US outlet

What a lovely hotel. A refurbished town house right in the centre of the best part of Bordeaux with the most comfortable beds. The staff were lovely, very helpful and jolly with it. They couldn’t have been any better. We had a nice room with a jacuzzi bath overlooking the inner courtyard. Great breakfast.

this gorgeous little boutique on the edge of the old town is delightful in many ways. the staff are VERY concerned about your well-being. we enjoyed a wine tasting with the hotel somm was super; would highly recommend it. we did not get to enjoy the breakfasts so I can't comment there. the issue I had was that it is an older building and the floors are very noisy. anyone that walks in the room above you makes a lot of noise. additionally, the spa is an unusual arrangement. sometimes you may need to walk to another facility in the city to make use of it. other than that, a tremendous stay.
