I stayed in this hotel 8 years ago and the rooms have been nicely upgraded and renovated. Some rooms are larger than others but centrally located and well worthwhile. The breakfast is a very nice plus- with a good assortment of choices. 4.5 stars

Modern rooms in historic building. Super-convenient location. Helpful front desk staff fluent in English. Generous breakfast buffet typically cheaper if you include it ahead of time in your room rate; as a stand-alone cost is a bit high (well, standard compared to other hotels but high vs. getting breakfast at a cafe).

This hotel is very nicely decorated and the staff is most agreeable. The location is close to the elegant riverfront, the Opera, some of the best restaurants, shopping at elegant shops, and points of interest. Two major trolley lines stop a block away and at the same spot there are stops for several important buses. You can take the tram... More

The location was perfect- in the centre of town and right by the tourist office where lots of wine tours depart from. It is also easy to get to the train station via tram in case you want to explore the area. The rooms were very spacious and modern and the morning breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again!

This hotel was the almost perfect location for a short stay. The room was spacious with high ceilings and great views over one of the main squares of the city. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will undoubtedly stay here again. Good quality and value.

This is right in the centre of Bordeaux and easy to skip round all of the main sights. The concierge is extremely helpful with eating recommendations and maps handy and they are spot on with where to eat and how to get around. They were very accommodating when my business event was cancelled leaving me with no place to work,... More

We had a large room. It was spotlessly clean and had all the necessary facilities. It was high up (perhaps fourth floor) overlooking the busy streets, but there was no problem of noise. The location is ideal for walking around the old downtown area. Also, strongly recommend the Brasserie L’Orleans very nearby.

A friendly welcome from the front of house team at Hotel de Normandie. For those using public transport, it's just across the street from a tram stop and just a two minute walk off the Opera House Square. Excellent breakfast too, and our thanks for accommodating our early departure. Rooms are compact but utterly spotless. Two niggles - the annoying... More
