After a long and weary day of train delays and missed connections, Hotel D was a welcome relief. We arrived very late and hungry. The receptionist was kind and welcoming. The room was uniquely beautiful, updated and well laid out the way. We loved that the shower and vanity were closed off from the bedroom and the shower was amazing. The ginger cookie treats and coffee in the room were a nice touch and very much appreciated given the late hour of our arrival. The room was very quiet which we very much appreciated given the Salzburg hotel that we came from where the HVAC system made noises all night. Throughout our stay, the front desk receptionists were very helpful and customer-service oriented. The location was convenient for us, within walking distance of the Christmas markets and Alstadt. If ever in Strasbourg, we’ll stay at Hotel D.

The hotel is in the best location to visit Strasbourg, right at the edge of the central part of the city where one cannot enter by car. The rooms are quite small but well designed to accommodate all the necessary for 2 or 3 nights. If you have much luggage go to another place with more spacious rooms. As it is an old building renovated they have profited the space up to the limit. The parking is connected to the hotel in a tricky way, it has some access by the first floor but afterwards the places for the cars are in the 3rd floor of a public parking attached to the hotel. There is like a labyrinth to reach it, but well signed. The staff is kind and helpful. They have room service instead of service of their restaurant, probably due to Covid situation. Room service with little choice but good quality and reasonable price, and fast enough. The street is quiet and beds are quite comfortable, good sleep. Just the floor is carpeted on top of old wooden floor, so it sounds a lot when walking around the room.

The hotel is in a quiet street and approx. 10 minutes walk from the Dome.
The rooms are not that spacious but the shower is fairly large.
I recommend Deluxe or a higher category.

Breakfast is in buffet form with a good choice of fresh fruits, cheese, meats breads etc…

The Breakfast room is quite small but well organised.

There is no bar, but the reception will serve you drinks in the breakfast room.

The parking is just next door and quiet reasonably priced.
Requires reservation.

The only negative point is that the beds are extremely hard and far too short. Same goes for the pillows.
This should be improved.

I can highly recommend the hotel.
Very friendly service.

Dear Guest, We thank you for your detailed feedback after your stay in our establishment. We are pleased to read that our hotel and our services met your expectations and especially the garage and the breakfast. Indeed our buffet breakfast "Signature" with local and bio products. Regarding, the bed, the size is 180x 190 in a Deluxe room. For the pillows, you find always extra pillows in the wardrobe. Thank you for the recommendation ! We look forward to welcoming you again on your next trip to Strasbourg. Sincerely,

Hotel located in the city centre next to the Strasbourg court. The hotel is in a renovated historic building and the rooms are really tastefully decorated, not too big but functional and comfortable. The hotel staff is very helpful and you can park your car in the adjacent car park even if the connection to the hotel is not exactly convenient.

We had the “Zen package” which was 2 nights plus a 45min massage for each of us - a great value for money. Massage is done individual as they have only one treatment room. However you can bridge the time in the sauna. The massage itself was awesome.
The hotel is located very central - approx 10 min slow walk to the cathedral.
It has limited parking slots right there - if full you can use a 24hr parking garage which is a 5 min walk away.
Breakfast was good, you have to tell at which time you want to start as the room capacity is limited. Yet during our “slot” there was always empty seats available and you can stay as long as you want.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. So convenient to the beautiful centre of Strasbourg by either walking or bike riding. We experienced a very quiet couple of nights here and the reception staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. Our room was spacious with a wonderful shower, comfortable bed and a coffee machine. We even had our window open at night and the street was very quiet. We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel and would stay here again.

Stayed here during the Christmas markets in November, booked a deluxe room. Our first night they put us on the first floor, room 103 right by the garage in a handicap room. We paid $400 for the night. The view was of the garage, every time the door closed the entire wall shook. The room and bathroom looked like a hospital room or hospice. We asked to change rooms and complained about being put in a handicap room. They told us that if we didn’t want a handicap room, we should have mentioned it in the notes during booking. Also said they are completely booked and will try to change our room next morning. Next day they changed our room to room 307 with a much better view. Almost like a different hotel. The manager Emily only comped us for breakfast for one night for 30 Euro and gave us a 30 Euro towards credit the &400 for the first night. She was very adamant that this was a fare discount and it’s only the second time she’s offered such an adjustment. Worst customer service ever. Overpriced stay at a hospice.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your impessions about your recent stay with us. I was really disappointed to read that your experience did not match your expectations and I am deeply sorry for that. However I must clarify some details with you: At your arrival, you came at the reception to say that you didn’t like the room because it is a room adapted for disabled person. Kindly note that even if it’s for disable person, our Deluxe room was a spacious room with the same attributs than any other room in this category. We always do our best for our client but unfortunately, we were fully booked that day and all our clients were already in. Furthermore, you wanted a twin room. Therfore the possibilities were limited. The Next morning, by 11am another Deluxe Twin room was ready for you. As explained, they were no problem or mistake with the room category, neither with our staff or the cleanliness of the room. Finally we solved your issue as soon as we could by giving you another room. Also to be perfectly clear (because your comment is not) the thuth is that you paid 376€ for the Saturday night and 188€ for Sunday night. Which is reasonable for this period of Christmas market! (By the way, It’s like going to Saint Tropez in August, clearly the price is much higher than in the middle of February.) As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you the breakfast you took (32,00 €) and we reduced the price of the first night by 30,00€. However I feel that rather than recognising our staff did everthing they could to pleased you, you were still not satisfied. Were you expecting us to offer you the night ? Sorry Darling if it did not work. Finally I am sure Mrs Sybille de Margerie, one of the most world known interior designer who did this hotel will appreciate the term you used to describe the room. Thanksfully all our clients don’t have your behaviour. Your attitude with this comment prove us right. it’s "Petit". Worst client ever ! 😉 Best Regards,

We stayed here in early September, at the start of a self-guided bicycle tour of Alsace and region. The hotel could not have been more communicative and helpful. The Manager, Aileen was exceptional. Great attitude and persona. Nothing was too much for her to solve. We are so grateful to her and her 'can do' attitude. We had bikes to unpack and a transport van to park etc. which went smoothly thanks to her, The staff were exceptional: friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a good location for walking into the old town. It was just at the edge of the old town which meant you could access the hotel with your car (or van in our case). Impossible in old town for any stress free driving !. Very narrow streets. Parking at the hotel was good. The room was small but comfortable, had a mini fridge and air conditioner (it was a bit hot in September, although conscious of envirnmental impact). Brekfast was great. Lift access is possible. A very positive experience.

Our stay at Hotel D was perfect! We purchased the All You Need is Love package as Strasbourg was a stop on our honeymoon and really enjoyed the wine, toiletries, and breakfast that was included with that. We booked a standard room but were upgraded to a beautiful, roomy suite! The staff left a nice card with our welcome package congratulating us on our marriage. We were able to book back to back massages (which gives a slight discount) and my husband (who doesn't love being touched on general) felt thoroughly relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards!

The view from the skylights was fantastic and you could open them for a nice breeze. Since they are in both sides of the room, we got great light all day.

The location is excellent, as well. Just a few minutes away from the nearest tram stop and walking distance to many great sites, food, and shopping. Hotel D helped me fall in love with Strasbourg and I hope to visit again!

It had lovely touches and is very modern and central. I booked very last minute and so my room wasn't the best; it felt l small and closed in (overlooked by a building which kept its lights on later than I would have liked). But the shower was really good!

Staff very friendly and helpful and I liked the sauna. The gym is very small but there are lovely guides to set you jogging by the river!
