In an outstanding setting, in the heart of Strasbourg, on the banks of the "Petite France" historical district, rediscover the unique charm of "Les Haras". A prestige hotel with a contemporary flair, a Brasserie restaurant run by Marc Haeberlin, in the stirling spirit of the original site. A magical and secret place, built in the middle of the 18th century, sheltered in the former National Stud Farm, classified as a historical monument since 1922. Although the Brasserie des Haras restaurant and Les Haras Hotel are two separate entities, they are both located at the same place, i.e., Strasbourg’s former national stud farm. The team of Les Haras Hotel is available for you to secure your lunch and dinner reservations during your stay at the hotel. However, please note that, due to considerable demand and to the high reputation of the Brasserie restaurant, we strongly recommend that you anticipate your table reseervation requests as soon as you book your room.

After much research, I chose Hotel Les Haras and it did not disappoint. A gorgeous walk through Petite France to the major sites of Strasbourg, alternatively you can follow the canal and make your way to the old town.

Pros

Breakfast was abundant, great service and a modest but good sized room for France.

Cons

The shower door was more decorative than functional so expect a flooded bathroom and ask for extra towels. The breakfast area (which transformed into a bar in the evening) lacked atmosphere. Unfortunately our room service was also served cold.

We indulged a little during our trip! Some recommendations include:

1741
Maison Kammerzell
And the hotel brasserie is also highly recommended although note it is technically not affiliated with the hotel.

The Christmas markets at Strasbourg were a let down. There are some small French villages nearby which are much more worthwhile - such as Kayserberg and Obernai for a fairytale-like Christmas experience.

Outstanding architecture improves the soul and the Hotel and Brasserie Les Haras set in historic stables surrounded by stunning modern architecture certainly did it for us.

The ambiance soon took over and the stress of our journey was washed away. The room was classically simple with a beautiful bathroom. The air conditioning was perfect and the bed super comfortable (the best pillows ever).

Breakfast was sumptuous with lovely friendly staff and took place on a terrace with gardens surrounded by stunning modern buildings.

We asked at reception to tell us where the spa was located and the receptionist said at “follow me” and then told a little of the history of the location. The sunlight on the pool makes a beautiful display on the ceiling - there is a steam room and sauna.

Mention should be made of the concierge service who wisk your car away to a super secure site in an adjoining street (tv cameras and barriers) - they were so helpful and efficient.

The hotel is three minutes walk from Petit France and a brisk 15 minutes from the Cathedral but feels like it is almost in the country.

We will certainly come back when Les Haras’ wellbeing has worn away.

This is an elegant hotel in a lovely old building within about a 10-15 minute walk from the heart of Strasbourg. The service is friendly and efficient from the front desk to the impressive breakfast buffet. The buffet was located across the street so the easiest route there requires briefly leaving the warmth of the hotel although it is possible to walk there via a subterranean route. The rooms were comfortable with comfortable pillows and a moderately firm bed. The rooms have a stocked minibar and a Nespresso machine with separate shower/bath room and toilet. The inner court is lovely and can be seen from all rooms that are located on the inside of the hotel. There is a lovely spa with an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. Guests are provided an hour free spa time per day and reservations are required. I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time I visit Strasbourg!

Nested in the heart of the city, the hotel is well located.

Our 3 day experience was rather poor as some of our expectations came short. Paying 300E per night, we were not aware of their 1 hour only daily pool policy that must be booked 24 prior as any additional hour is an extra 25E per person per hour. The Spa experience was ok though we paid a 190 Eur for an hour massage with common Nuxe beauty product.

We asked every night to have diner at the hotel but we could not as the restaurant is a separate entity from the hotel as is the Spa. So we should have booked well in advanced and should have been advised so. Nice breakfast, a bit expensive, 30 Eur per person.
The rooms have unfortunately no bathtubs and the AC can not be adjusted.
A nice hotel, very expensive for the services provided by a very Junior staff who is willing to do well but are no match to any professional adults well versed in the restauration environment.
The price does not march the level of service and minimalistic rooms. Dont forget to cross the road for breakfast located in a separate road and be aware of events that could be of noise nuisance as weddings and corporate events...

Ideal location to visit the city center and the Christmas Market while still staying in a quiter area which is also very accessible by car (hotel offers parking against a fee but there is also the possibility to charge your EV).
While the rates weren't cheap (which is normal during Christmas Market), the staff, the loacation as well as the quality of the food (breakfast and snacks at the bar) made up for this.
There is a small sauna and a hammam, unfortunately the temperature were a bit high compared to what we know from other places.
In summary a great option to visit Strasbourg during a weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The building is amazing and the staff very helpful and kind. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a room on the first floor in the main building with an amazing view on the inner courtyard.
We had a lovely dinner on the first night in the hotel's restaurant, which has an amazing decor.
The wellness area is also impressive, and the first half our we had the whole area to ourselves, very nice.
The hotel's location is furthermore perfect, very close to Petite France and the inner city.

Super lovely Hotel in the middle of Strasbourg! All of the people in the hotel are exceptionally accommodating, helpful and extremely kind ! We had a not so nice reservation for a restaurant booked, and the Receptionist Charlotte helped calming down the situation.
The rooms are super cozy and offer a very antique, picturesque and lovely view over the courtyard.
Breakfast sensationell, treatment wonderful, we even received a French Lesson that was so lovely, and for a very good price!
Many thanks we shall one day return...

I visited Straßburg for a seminar and stayed at this hotel.
We arrived later in the night but were welcomed at the entrance. Our car was parked while our luggage was brought in to make the check in.

The room big and very clean, the groom brought our things to the room.

They care about the customer and they are more than friendly.

The next day I was allowed to stay parked with the car till later in the afternoon in order to complete the seminar. Two bottles of water were offered to us free of charge for our journey. These small things are what characterizes the good service in a hotel.
The quality of the furniture and bed in the room was also very satisfying.

The location is very good, near the city center but not loud at all.
I was very positively surprised with this hotel and I will visit for sure again.

We stayed at this hotel twice, both during Xmas season, and I highly recommend the hotel. The hotel is on the outskirts of the historic center where you have plenty of restaurants and shopping options; about a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel is divided into 2 sections, the main building and satellite building across the street. We preferred the rooms across the street!!

The rooms are decent sized for a European hotel, but comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast price is a bit pricy, but buffet is very complete with many options to choose from. Regardless, there are tons of places to eat in the historic center.

Their spa is nice, but a bit small for the number of rooms in the hotel. I saw a few people complain on TA about the 1-hour limit, which is true. However, we spent multiple hours during several days and no one said anything to us. Maybe they do when it is overly crowded to give everyone an opportunity.

I should mention that the restaurant onsite is really, really good. The food is delicious, and we always have dinner at least once every visit.

We plan to go back to the hotel for the 3rd time this Xmas!

Stylish, luxurious hotel with great indoor swimming pool and wellness facilities. Nice breakfast with excellent host. In general friendly staff. Close to the old town so easy access to all the touristic highlights. Disadvantage was that we were placed outside the main building, the restaurant was closed and the parking costs and costs per pet were relatively high.

I think you will have to speak to them. They are very accommodating. You are right they usually have rooms for 2 people only. You'll have to speak to them in advance as they are quite busy all around the year because of the IRCAD
