#12 of 138 in Strasbourg
Travelers' Choice
In an outstanding setting, in the heart of Strasbourg, on the banks of the "Petite France" historical district, rediscover the unique charm of "Les Haras". A prestige hotel with a contemporary flair, a Brasserie restaurant run by Marc Haeberlin, in the stirling spirit of the original site. A magical and secret place, built in the middle of the 18th century, sheltered in the former National Stud Farm, classified as a historical monument since 1922. Although the Brasserie des Haras restaurant and Les Haras Hotel are two separate entities, they are both located at the same place, i.e., Strasbourg’s former national stud farm. The team of Les Haras Hotel is available for you to secure your lunch and dinner reservations during your stay at the hotel. However, please note that, due to considerable demand and to the high reputation of the Brasserie restaurant, we strongly recommend that you anticipate your table reseervation requests as soon as you book your room.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The building is amazing and the staff very helpful and kind. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a room on the first floor in the main building with an amazing view on the inner courtyard. We had a lovely dinner on the first night in the hotel's restaurant, which has an amazing decor. The wellness area is also impressive, and the first half our we had the whole area to ourselves, very nice. The hotel's location is furthermore perfect, very close to Petite France and the inner city.

The Hotel is ok but nothing of Woww, but the valet guy obliged me that he was parking my car. It ended with an accident. I still wait for the French insurance to pay for my damage ,Horrible Service. They wreck your car then you never hear from them again. Never again

Super lovely Hotel in the middle of Strasbourg! All of the people in the hotel are exceptionally accommodating, helpful and extremely kind ! We had a not so nice reservation for a restaurant booked, and the Receptionist Charlotte helped calming down the situation. The rooms are super cozy and offer a very antique, picturesque and lovely view over the courtyard. Breakfast sensationell, treatment wonderful, we even received a French Lesson that was so lovely, and for a very good price! Many thanks we shall one day return...

Design of the hotel is really impressive! The rooms are large and convenient. Very clean as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is very well. The only thing I can complain is that the bath in our room had a bath tub that didn’t have a shield to prevent water splashing to the ground which makes showering quite an comfortable experience. But I must say even this didn’t upset me since I loved the hotel so much! :) I would really recommend everyone.

After much research, I chose Hotel Les Haras and it did not disappoint. A gorgeous walk through Petite France to the major sites of Strasbourg, alternatively you can follow the canal and make your way to the old town. Pros Breakfast was abundant, great service and a modest but good sized room for France. Cons The shower door was more decorative than functional so expect a flooded bathroom and ask for extra towels. The breakfast area (which transformed into a bar in the evening) lacked atmosphere. Unfortunately our room service was also served cold. We indulged a little during our trip! Some recommendations include: 1741 Maison Kammerzell And the hotel brasserie is also highly recommended although note it is technically not affiliated with the hotel. The Christmas markets at Strasbourg were a let down. There are some small French villages nearby which are much more worthwhile - such as Kayserberg and Obernai for a fairytale-like Christmas experience.

Very modern pleasant room; ours looked over the central courtyard. The hotel is within very easy walking distance of all the major attractions of Strasbourg. Nice breakfast in a modern room. Do try the Brasserie associated with the hotel. Excellent food and very pleasant dining experience overlooking very complicated beam and truss work.

My wife and i went for a short visit to strasbourg. This hotel was amazing,15 minuted walk to the old town was a great plus. The personal were so friendly and helpful. A large selection of food for breakfast. The room was in the second floor and it was nice. The only thing is that the walls of the room let everything from the sounds outside inside tge room. Rather then that, all good. Thanks to all tye staff.

I am still in the midst of a second stay here, but had to write another review because I have been treated so well. I don’t understand any negative reviews, as the staff, and in particular the friendly and responsive manager, bend over backwards to please the guest. As I noted in my previous review, the modern, unfussy aesthetic suits my taste. This four star property has ensured that they use quality bedding, toweling and window treatments. They strive to refresh on a regular basis. I found the bed and pillows (more than one type offered) to be very comfortable, and I was a chiropractor. The location is very good, the nearby cobbled streets are indeed charming, it would be hard to dispute. I ate at the restaurant Brasserie on my last visit, and will be eating there again this time (reservations recommended). There is a tasty and interesting menu, and I found the servers, bar staff and management to be highly service oriented.
