Check in Reception was quiet and we were immediately checked in by the very kind and friendly Charlotte who recognised my Hilton Diamond membership and pointed out our entitlements, along with some helpful tips for visiting the city. Dogs We were travelling with our two large but well behaved Golden Retriever/Labrador cross dogs, who were welcome at a reasonable charge of €20 per dog, per night. This hotel truly embraces being dog friendly. We were all welcomed in the bar and breakfast terrace where, on both occasions, the wonderful staff brought large bowls of water (it was very hot during our visit) without us even having to ask. There were also three dog bowls on the floor waiting in our room. All of the staff seemed delighted to meet our dogs and several made a special fuss of them. As dog owners will know, this takes a lot of stress out of your travel and is massively appreciated. Diamond perks Our room had kindly been upgraded ahead of our arrival from a basic room to an executive room, as part of the HHD perks. The lovely reception team were happy to swap the executive room for a much larger room (family sized) to give our dogs more space. This was hugely appreciated. Diamond members also receive free parking in the hotels secure outdoor car park, as well as free breakfast. We did not use the executive lounge, which is on the ground floor adjacent to the bar. Food and drink More inspiring service in the bar where the team were super engaging and really responsive to customers needs. When I didn’t recognise any of the four beers on draught the awesome barman whipped out four shot glasses and gave me an impromptu taste test which was great fun! This hotel clearly recognises that personalised moments like that cost the hotel virtually nothing but gain so much goodwill from the customer. Whilst our salads and cheese plate for dinner were delicious, our only constructive criticism was of the breakfast spread, which we found a bit sad and uninspiring. Nonetheless, the breakfast room staff were also very hospitable and the sunny terrace was a nice environment to dine at. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were ever passing through Strasbourg in future!…
Great hotel! Amazing helpful and friendly staff! We were a family of 5 staying in an interconnected room - very comfortable and clean. Restaurant was excellent and breakfast was great too!! We had a great time. Totally recommend this hotel!
We stay in Hilton Strasbourg each July while going on Alsace wine tour. Hotel is well located for that purpose. However this time I started questioning whether they deserve our custom. I am gold Hilton member and returning customer but not even once have we received an upgrade here. They do not even acknowledge the elite status or are happy to see you again. I have booked an executive room hoping to upgrade level up and they had suites available but claimed to be fully booked when I asked. These days it is easy to check when this is not the case - just go to the website. I used to give good reviews but this time my experience was beyond pair. They allocated us room with no bathrobes and with faulty safe. It took few visits to reception to rectify that as they never pick up the phone. Room is quite small for the family of three, sleeping arrangement was cramped. Executive lounge has been moved to ground floor post pandemic and its offering was total joke. If you don’t arrive on the dot for happy hour at 6 (and why would you if you enjoy the sumner days), you will only find empty wine bottles. I actually paid for executive room so expected to use it and not finding that there is nothing available there. On first evening we found some pasta, on second day, there was nothing hot and only few pieces of cheese. I must add lounge was not busy - maybe 5 tables were occupied both days so it is not that they could not cope with the demand. We were on 7th floor, window opened a crack and aircon was working. Breakfast was average, everything self service with terrible coffee from the machine. I will definitely reconsider my future stays here. It felt like standards have slipped considerably and there is no concept of good customer service.…
If you expect a Hilton standard this is not the hotel to book! The hotel is outdated, the food quality in the restaurant and for breakfast is below standard. For this price it is not in line with expectations. The front desk service was pleasant and very helpful however that does not make up for the remaining experience. Whenever I travel (private or business) I book Hilton/Hilton group hotels but I would not recommend to book the one in Strasbourg.
We stayed at Hilton in Stransbourg one night in June 2022 The position is ok, they have the parking and the personnel is nice. But ... We had a room very dusty and old, but ... There was mold on the wall ! Yes, mold on the wall ! Hilton provides room with mold on the wall. Are this Hilton standard ? My wife, suffing of asthma didn't sleep any minutes We sent email to Hilton, and they are not taking any responsability @Hilton are you serious and trustable company ? I let the aswer with you
The hotel's location is really ideal. It's just outside the city centre, but there is a tram just around the corner that leads you straight into the city centre in 10 minutes. And it was only €7 for 5 people for 1 day unlimited use. It's very clean, the rooms are nice and the extra pillow I requested was waiting for me. Special shout out to Charlotte from reception, who was really kind and gave us all sorts of tips for what kind of tram ticket would be best for our group, tips for the European Parliament, etc. Wonderful! Only disadvantage: the buffet breakfast was €25 which was quite expensive for a breakfast that was more continental really.
I stayed here for one night. I got an Uber from the train station. Coming from the UK I have stayed in a couple of Hilton’s over there, this was cheaper and just as good. Breakfast very nice too. Would recommend staying here for a nice hotel to stay in on a budget. Staff spoke decent English
This hotel had all the typical features of the Hilton chain but with nothing special to differentiate it from other hotels. It is located well outside of the center of Strasbourg (roughly a 25 minute) walk so is convenient for conventions but less so for visits to the old city. The rooms were clean and well organized. The front desk staff were friendly but they failed to acknowledge my Hilton status although there was a welcome letter in my room. The rooms do not have water or a mini-bar but do have a small refrigerator and coffee/tea.
Nothing outstanding to tell about this hotel – rooms are clean and spacious, personnel is friendly. The hotel does require a make-over, overall old feeling though well kept. It is nothing special but OK for a one-night stay. Public transport into the city is about 10min walk from the hotel. Breakfast buffet was disappointing and too crowded. All in all an average but OK experience.
Was very disappointed well below the Hilton chain standards Poor house keeping services - they actually forgot to clean the room once Ride checking staff Hidden charges for baby crib Breakfast was the only upside
