What an amazing hotel to chose for our first stop in the Alsace region! Strasbourg is a charming city and this hotel was in a wonderful location for exploring. Within walking distance to everything, we were so happy to have stayed here for two nights. The Gerard de Nerval suite was large enough to spread out and unpack. It was very quiet and smelled so good everywhere we walked! Our room had a separate sitting room with a chair, table and a desk. The air conditioning was perfect and the room very cool. This was much appreciated as the weather was extremely hot (upper 90’s F) during our visit! The toilet is in a separate room from the shower/tub and sink making it super convenient for two people to get ready. The towels were fluffy and super soft. The shower had great water pressure, temp and toiletries. The bed was perfect, neither one of else felt the other move. I requested a feather pillow which was much softer than the ones on the bed. The closets were large and there were plenty of shelves to place our items. Complimentary coffee can be made in the Nespresso coffee maker and bottled water is replaced daily. Complimentary robes and slippers were a special treat as was the turn down service in the evening. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful, always with a smile and ready to assist in any manner! Breakfast was amazing and included in the “Bed and Breakfast” rate. There is literally everything you can imagine from scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit (displayed in very creative ways), yogurt, cereals, breads, cheeses, smoked salmon, fruit juices, water, milk, crepes, pain at chocolate, etc. — you get the picture! Way better than most European hotel offerings! At check out, we were assisted in getting a cab and we were given black and white postcards of what it looked like before it was a hotel. Amazing! They’ve managed to make it very modern and comfortable inside while retaining the charm of the original building. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in this quaint city! Only wish we could give more than 5 circles!!

The Hotel is a really neat place. Well located in the city. We stayed in a comfortable Junior Suite which was nice - but it is not a must-have. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Friendly staff.

The hotel is charming, and the service levels are very high. The location is excellent -- walkable to almost everything. We had a quiet room but am less certain about some of the other rooms. Also, the construction is old, so sound appears to transmit easily between rooms, although we did not have a problem.

This was my one “treat” on this trip to England and France, and I’m so glad that I chose Cour du Corbeau. The location is perfect, just across the street from the old centre of the city, the staff is second to none, and the rooms! Oh, the rooms! My cousin and I had rooms next door to each other, but they were completely different. I’m not sure how they chose which of us were staying in each room, but they matched our styles exactly. Mine had Villeroy & Boch plumbing fixtures and dark floors, my cousin’s was an all white design. We declared the rooms to be our “perfect French apartments” and made sure that we made time to enjoy the deluxe Nespresso machines, the sitting room area and a beautiful soak in our extra long tubs. The rooms are very large and quiet, the king-size bed is heavenly. The turndown service was appreciated. We didn’t partake of the restaurant, instead we were out at cafes and restaurants with our new-found relative. But I have no doubt that their food and service would be to a high standard as well.
