Check-in problem This place is located in a busy business area. There is no proper reception area to check in. While looking for an entrance to find the hotel operator, the owner suddenly appeared and after showing her the reservation paper the check-in was conducted out in the open in front of a locked door. The place accept cash only. Thinking we plan to leave early the next day we pay in advance. Access to room is a challenge The room of the hotel is above a restaurant. The access to the rooms is through a side door next to the restaurant which open to a narrow dinghy hallway. Leading up to the rooms in second floor is a narrow a spiral stairway. No elevator is available. It was a chore to bring our luggages up to the room. Parking is a problem We arrived by car and found out there is no dedicated parking for guest of the hotel even though it is indicated parking is available on the website. The owner said only street parking is available. After un-loading our luggages we spent about 30 min looking for parking near the hotel but was not successful. We went back to the owner and told her we can’t stay since we could not find parking. Rude owner Since we did leave our bags in the room we asked for partial refund. But the owner rudely refused. Eventually we did not want to deal with the rude owner and left the place without staying and no refund. The whole interaction with the owner from check-in to leaving without staying was the worst customer service I ever experienced.

Friendly host and very comfortable room, quaint but functional, nice street view with a tree by the window - good view of Stradbourg life going on, can get a tad noisy if the window is open. But double glazed panes in the older style wooden windows work well. Has a fridge and safe. Would highly recommend for a short stay.

We enjoyed our one night visit very much. The owners were charming and very welcoming. We were delighted by the "home feel" and the location is just steps from the "Petite France" area of Strasbourg. It was easy to get to from the train station. The only challenge was very steep spiral stairs up to our room. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast the next day. The innkeepers were very helpful and allowed us to keep our luggage in our room while we toured the beautiful city. It is a nice change of pace from business-type hotels without character. Our room was comfortable and was decorated with antiques and lots of books.

What a fantastic choice! The owners are friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful and the rooms are cozy, nicely decorated and well equipped. The building is an old Alsatian house a few meters away from the lovely Petite France, so you can't really ask for a better location when visiting Strasbourg. In the morning we were served a delicious breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, that belongs to the same owners. We were so pleased that we decided to have an amazing traditional Alsatian dinner at the restaurant that night. The food was PLENTIFUL (niammmm!!!) and truly delicious. In summary, we would go back to the B&B and to the restaurant any time. Thumps up to Fink'Neschtel!!!

Have been coming here regularly over the last four years. After having read a very negative review, I feel this needs to be countered as I only have excellent experiences in the Fink'Neschtel. If you book in advance and inform the owners whether or not you want to have breakfast, they will assure that all is well (and the breakfast is excellent). If you arrive at the peek of the evening, when it is rusk hour in the restaurant, they might not be fully at your disposal. But hey, give them a break. This is a hard working family that likes to take care of their restaurant guests. The rooms are simple, but have a lot of charme. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are small but functional. The location, even though there is indeed traffic passing by, is excellent. You are next to Petit France and there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants around. And indeed, the wifi was unreliable for a long time, but it has been fixed and works perfectly on all floors. I always enjoy going to Strasbourg and staying here.
