Detailed Reviews
I booked this hotel as part of a package for my wife’s 30th birthday! Massive shout out to Mads who sorted it all out for me and whom was also so welcoming on our arrival. It really was worth every penny!
We entered yesterday and straight away were told our room was ready early, check in was simple and our room was simply unbelievable. Room 47! A freestanding bath and a beautiful shower was a brilliant touch but also Mads/the hotel has arranged for a bottle of champagne in the room and some brownies with happy birthday prominently displayed in icing. A wonderful touch and one my wife really appreciated.
We had afternoon tea in the tea room which was not only a fantastic setting but the afternoon tea itself was one of the best we have ever had. Again this weekend was all about my wife on her 30th birthday and she was delighted with the afternoon tea. Back to the room we lounged on one of the comfiest hotel beds we have ever stayed on and put Sky on whilst having a beer and a glass of champers. Fantastic. We visited the infinity pool on floor 7 just to take a photo or two but it was a bit cold but it is February after all.
We then ate dinner in the restaurant which was not overly busy and not too quiet. Plenty of people taking advantage of the fantastic setting and drinks on offer. We ate our food and it really was one of the best meals we have had. Finished off with the ginger toffee cake, incredible.
This morning we have had a breakfast and again the eggs benedict was delicious.
I want to thank the King Street Town House, the staff, Mads and everyone behind the scenes. I have told my wife we will definitely return and you guys also needs to find a site in Liverpool as the hotel would do so well here. Thank you again so much guys. 5 stars from me and I’m very grateful!

Dear GraemeB27 Thank you so much, it was a delight to read such kind words about your stay with us here at King Street Townhouse. Here at King Street Townhouse we always aim to exceed expectations and make memories and to see you certainly did that is fantastic. We have worked hard on ensuring we exceed Standards when it comes to attention to detail in all of our bedrooms so I am happy to read you felt the same during your stay. The Rainfall showers are a personal favorite of mine. An experience is measured not only by the quality of the product but the staff that delivers that product and I am delighted to read that Mad went above and beyond during your stay with us and I will be sure to pass your thanks on directly to him We are pleased that you enjoyed your afternoon tea with us and that our staff made you feel looked after. Our Afternoon Tea menu is seasonal so we hope to be seeing you again soon. Once again, thank you very much for your feedback and your recommendation. Kind Regards Jenny Oh General Manager

We only stayed the one night the room was very big with a great bathroom. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk away from the shopping centre. The breakfast was very nice all freshly cooked to order with a continental selection as well. My wife used the infinity pool on the morning we were leaving she said it was cold but then again we did go in February 😂. Overall this is a great hotel.

Dear lflann963825 Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. I am delighted to read that all aspects of your stay were positive. We are indeed ideally located for all of Manchester shops, bars, and restaurants which all are just a hop away to enjoy. It's fantastic that the ambiance and design of the rooms were to your taste. Here in King Street Townhouse, we have tried to maximize practically in our bedrooms to enhance comfort. We believe it is all in the details. I will be sure to feedback all of your comments, especially to our chefs as they will be thrilled to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your freshly cooked Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future. Kind Regards Jenny Oh General Manager

Upon arival was greeted by the lovely Steve Who was very helpful and gave us a 25% off discount for the car park so it was only £19.50 and he gave us lots of directions on good places to go, the room was amazing from little things such as the coffee machine to the rainfall shower, the staff on the evening shift on the terrace where amazing I didn’t catch there names but the blonde lady helped my partner propose to me by taking us up to the rooftop so they made my visit extra special and was kind enough to give a complimentary drink each for the occasion, all of the staff here are very nice and friendly and make you feel very welcome. The pool was unreal it’s a shame you only get 30 minutes as time really goes fast it was so beautiful and the sights are amazing. The only thing I’ve knocked a star off for is the breakfast as it’s £18 pp and both where cold, mine was missing an item, just didn't generally feel worth £18 that was the only thing I was disappointed in. Overall would stay again just wouldn't do breakfast next time.

Friendly helpful staff, really comfortable, spotless and uniquely styled quirky bedrooms - ours even had a roll tap bath in the bedroom! The room had everything you could wish for - from soft cozy bath robes ,complimentary Espa products and an Espresso machine. lovely dining area and bar on the top floor of the hotel with great food and the best view in Manchester ! Its ideally located for the bars, shops and restaurants in Manchester but peaceful and quiet . Breakfast was served in the room due to covid restrictions but was piping hot , great quality and very tasty - would highly recommend and hope to visit again soon!

Booked this hotel a while before we stayed there. It is an extremely popular hotel and were very pleased when we arrived.
We were pleasantly surprised that the receptionist remembered us from our stay at another hotel and she was very courteous, friendly and professional.
The rooms are quirky and our room had a longish hallway which then went through the decadent shower and then through the bedroom. We found it extremely quiet and sleep was great.
Breakfast was very good at the hotel. The only slight grumble if you can call it that is the waiter was required to get everything for you in including toast then butter then jam. In my opinion I think we should be getting our own toast and allow the waiting staff to do other things!
Great stay, good restaurant, great staff!

Recently visited the Townhouse for afternoon tea and drinks for my partners birthday, what a fantastic time me and my partner had. The facilities from the lovely vibrant cosy tea lounge to the settings on the 6th floor terrace are all beautiful, the staff we have dealt with from the beginning over email, Right through to all members on the day throughout the tea lounge and terrace honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of an amazing bunch of people who just optimise everything that great hospitality/catering is about, the most kind, hard working, helpful and pleasant staff I’ve ever dealt with, made the experience that little bit extra special! The food and drink was honestly amazing, my partner and myself aren’t keen on seafood so instead of the salmon at afternoon tea it was replaced with another delightful bite to eat, the sweets were honestly the best I’ve ever tasted and was plenty lovely fresh pots of tea and water brought to us. The 6th floor terrace views were beautiful and the drinks were tasty and reasonably priced for being in such a great location and also it’s nice and warm with the outside heaters to take away any breeze. Next time we are staying in Manchester we will be booking the hotel as well to stay in for sure and try the spa facilities but 100% will have to have an afternoon tea again as it was just so good! Also wanted to add the staff on the day that sent out the happy birthday plate of brownies for my partner - it was honestly so thoughtful regardless who it was and she was humbled by the wee surprise a big thanks for that. But yeah just wanted to say a big thank you to every one of the staff was such a lovely experience and yous made my partners birthday that much nicer. Will definitely be recommending the place to anyone that’s going to Manchester. The venue and its staff deserve all the credit and praise it gets and then some. Fantastic experience 10/10. Can’t wait to come back soon.
Kind regards,
Mr Luke Whorlow

Normally stick to abroad venues but with 2020 restricting our travel this year and because of how good this hotel was, a review was needed.
Booked via booking.com for my partners birthday. Was able to liaise with the hotel via the app messenger service and the staff were always prompt and polite, which was the same at the hotel in person. The restrictions were very clearly outlined on the website and the staff were happy to make time changes for the pool slot and bar when the 10pm curfew was imposed.
The room was lovely and clean, with a nice birthday sign in the room for our arrival. The infinity pool is a Manchester hidden treasure and great views there and at the South Terrace bar. The pool area was heated and so was the bar area. Gorgeous bath in the room and although the mini bar was empty, the staff were on hand to order items to the room if needed and the breakfast was served as room service due to the current restrictions.
Couldn’t recommend this hotel more and we’ll definitely be back, a lovely birthday treat and nice to get away even if close to home, thank you!

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in July as a solo traveller, and I was very impressed with the room. It was a spacious 'comfy' room, which came with king size (possibly super kingsize?) bed. The bathroom had both a powerful shower and a freestanding bath and there was plenty of wardrobe space in the cloakroom area, just outside of the bathroom.
Covid safety measures were in place (my stay was before 19th July, so masks were still mandatory anyway), and this meant that any housekeeping service had to be specifically requested. I didn't bother, as there was sufficient toiletry provision. I felt that the fact the hotel decided to make housekeeping a customer choice at this time, was a lovely touch.
I ordered room service twice using the very efficient QR code provided, and delivery was very prompt. I also had breakfast twice in the restaurant, and the lovely, cooked-to-order food was delicious. Unfortunately I didn't book ahead in time to secure a restaurant reservation for dinner, and all three nights the restaurant was fully booked. I could have ordered dinner from room service, but chose to eat elsewhere instead, in the desire to explore Manchester a bit more.
Finally, I loved the spa pool on floor seven. The fact that the views are slightly hampered for the foreseeable future due to the Manchester Town Hall going through a 2 year refurb is hardly the hotel's fault, and anyway you can still enjoy the ambience.
The staff were friendly and the location was great, so I would definitely stay here again when visiting Manchester.

Lovely hotel just like the pictures.
Recommend calling up before you stay to ask for the pools availability, well worth a visit truly stunning. If available you get a private 30 minutes slot for each night you stay. 1 night 1 slot, 2 nights 2 slots etc.
Staff are super attentive and really welcoming especially Steven, always a smile on his face and gave us multiple recommendations for things to do/see and places to eat.
Great location, couldn’t recommend more.
We stayed for an anniversary and to our surprise were greeted with chocolates and strawberries in the room with rose petals, a lovely touch making the trip even more special.
On our last day we decided to get a treatment at the spa, super easy to book and lovely girls. Slightly expensive but well worth it.
Only downfall of the trip, the pool lady was rather grumpy and rude when letting you in and giving you clean towels.

The room was adequate, the shower wasn’t sealed properly and was leaking heavily out the sides. The handles on the shutters span round because they weren’t fitted properly. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have sky in the room, although a pitty the tv didn’t have things such as netflix. The room was clean and cosy.
The main reason we stayed here was due to the spa pool which overlooks Manchester but the water was freezing! It was an amazing view but we had a much more limited time spent in it than planned. This seriously needs looking into as this is one of the main selling points for this hotel. They had signs up stating that it was because of the cold weather, but this is England so I don’t know what they expect.
We have stayed in much cheaper places than here before such as the Stalybridge Suites and Hotel Indigo Manchester and the quality they offer is so much more considering that this hotel is basically a room only because you can’t use the pool for long.

We have stayed in much cheaper places than here before such as the Stalybridge Suites and Hotel Indigo Manchester and the quality they offer is so much more considering that this hotel is basically a room only because you can’t use the pool for long.

Response from Jenny0h, General Manager at King Street Townhouse
Responded Feb 13, 2020
Dear 993jacoba Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us here at King Street Townhouse. We always strive to ensure all of our guest's expectations are exceeded and that we give them the opportunity to create some amazing memories whilst staying with us, I apologise that this was not the case on your visit. Our 7th floor Spa is a brilliant space for our guests to enjoy the panoramic views across Manchester, even better with a beverage in your hands but on this occasion, I can see that we did not live up to expectations which our selves are very disappointed about. Once again I would like to thank you for your feedback as without it the smaller details can be missed and in my experience, these are the things that make a stay a memorable experience for all the right reasons. I do hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future and I do ask that if you would like to book with us that you please come direct and our Guest Relations Manager Tom will be sure to look after your booking from start to finish, please email GuestRelations@kingstreettownhouse.co.uk. Kind Regards Jenny Oh General Manager

Any room, the hotel has a infinity pool. For everyone to use
Yes for the spa but unsure how you can use the pool as a room card will need to be used to move in the lift and door access and so on
Ask the hotel would be my best advise
I don’t know. I’m thin and robes are always oversized on me but maybe safer to bring your own? Great hotel tho.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. The receptionist called us at 11.05 to remind us check out was 11am.
