We spent one night at Abel Heywood, a place we selected based on a Frommer's recommendation. We needed accessible accommodations and we very pleased with our room. The hotel has a lift and a wheel-chair accessible shower. We were very pleased with the hotel and the staff.
All facilities (staff, room, food, cleanliness, service, etc.) excellent and the location is really handy for Old Trafford - Shudehill Tram direct. I would certainly stay in this hotel again when in Manchester.
The hotel is ideally located with an abundance of bars and restaurants in the area. The rooms are very nice, having more personality than "standard rooms " in larger hotels. The staff were friendly. Our room was very clean.
Lovely hotel very central.rooms not overly big but the beds r very comfy.very quiet location near all shops and and transport links.10 min walk will take you into st peters square.bout 10 min walk to train station.
Stayed just one night but had a nice, relaxing stay. V quick and friendly check-in, lovely double bedrooms (if a bit on the small side), v clean with all amenities. Only small problem was the bathroom fan, which didn't come on automatically when the bathroom light was switched on, but had to be operated by a switch high up on the wall outside.…
