My experience wasn't anything like most of the reviewers. I paid £40 for a double room and wasn't expecting luxury. If you just need somewhere to sleep in the area then this place is fine. No complaints.

I stayed here back in May when we visited Manchester to see the Foo Fighters and wanted a cheap hotel. I should have reviewed this months ago but I suppressed the experience in my mind and it has only just come screaming back to me. Do not stay here!!!! The staff may have been friendly but the room was just... More

I stayed at this hotel with my sister as a last minute resort. We visited Manchester for a hen do and on a budget this was the cheapest place we could find. We paid £56 for a nights stay at this place and I wish I had paid a little bit more for a decent hotel closer to town. (It... More

The Landsdowne was hands down the single worst hotel I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. I mean, where to start...? Blood stains on the floor (room 302) Bathroom door splintered in half Radiator pipes 'insulated' with Sainsbury's carrier bags TV remote covered in grime... I couldn't even bring myself to use the shower it was that filthy! Their... More

No bad comments on this hotel. Basic but clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location if your visiting the Academy as the bus runs almost 24 hrs. Also a great end to the night on the curry mile!

Me and my wife stopped here over night while we went out around Manchester and to see a show. The hotel is basic but clean and tidy. TV in the room tea and coffee clean towels everything youd expect really. The hotel also has a bar but unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to use at the bar as we... More

Grubby, holes in walls, old tv that just made buzzing sounds. We were put on top floor which was stairs access only, there is a lift but they don't have it connected to work. Shower had switch poking out of chipped out tiles. Plug socket begin bed inaccessible but one by kettle which could be plugged in if placed on... More

Smelly, disgusting, rotten, extremely basic, one plug socket for a TV that didn't work. Bathroom door with patched up holes in. Have never stayed in such a pit. And considering it's meant to be budget, the rather plush hotel a few doors up is only a few quid more and was lovely and very accommodating. We checked in and immediately... More

Found the room to be filthy. Black mould on curtain shower, hair on sheets. Greasy fluff on radiators, Chipped bedroom furniture and cracked window still. Foul smelling dumpsters at rear of building. Checked out after first night.

Spent as little time as possible in the hotel. The room was very dated, it had a hole in the wall from someone punching it, unstable and stained bed boards and we were given used plastic cups to drink from. We didn't even bother to use the shower!
