The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel, is often celebrated for its prime central location, which guests love for its easy access to local attractions and amenities. While the staff's friendly and professional service receives commendations, some guests have encountered inconsistencies. The elegant atmosphere and praised spa contribute to the hotel's charm, although the character is sometimes described as lacking. Despite the general approval of the hotel's cleanliness and comfort, opinions on room quality and value for money are mixed, with noise level being a common concern.

I decided to stay here for 2 nights for a solo birthday getaway, enjoy myself, relax and swim and use the sauna. I liked my room, especially the switch-controlled window blinds. I also really liked that the sink & 'get ready' station was separate to the main bathroom & shower. However I did not like the floor of the shower AT ALL. The floor around it should've been elevated a lot more in order to create that difference between a flat / same level floor and the shower floor. Because the floor was not separated clearly enough, it made it very easy for the shower water to collect and overflow into the bathroom ground, crawling towards the room. The shower also drained incredibly slowly, adding to the issue of the ground water level rising and there being an overspill of water.

My husband and son stay here regularly but this was my first time and it’s such a fab hotel! The staff are what sets it apart, everyone is so friendly, super attentive and those extra touches really make a difference. Special shout out to the concierge (I think it’s Gary?) who makes such an effort with my 8yr old son every visit. By far the best place we ever stayed in Manchester

I stayed twice in December. In principle a very good hotel. The breakfast in particular is very well organised. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. There were some shortcomings too. On the second occasion, my VIP level in the Radisson reaward programme was not taken into account in any way, apart from the free breakfast. Furthermore, I had booked a double bed room, but was put in a room with two separate beds. According to reviews, this has happened to other guests relatively often.

Dear 6730LaMi, It is heartening to learn that you chose to stay with us twice in December and found our hotel to be in keeping with your expectations. We are particularly delighted to note that you enjoyed our breakfast, which we strive to make an enjoyable part of our guests' stay. We value our guests' loyalty and your feedback regarding the Radisson reward programme has been noted. The VIP status is an important facet of our service delivery and we apologize if you felt it was not sufficiently acknowledged during your visit. We assure you that we value your patronage and aim to provide a rewarding experience for all our esteemed guests. We regret to hear about the mix-up with your room booking. Rest assured, we prioritize our guest's comfort and always aim to meet their specific needs and preferences. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding in this matter. While we are pleased that you would consider staying with us again, we would also like to highlight the unique dining experience at our award-winning Peter Street Kitchen. Here, you can explore contemporary Japanese cuisine coupled with an exciting variety of Mexican dishes, all complemented by our fine selection of wines, cocktails, and sake. We look forward to welcoming you back and strive to ensure your future stays with us are even more enjoyable and comfortable. Warm Regards, Jonny Wolstenholme Front of House Manager

Stayed here for a weekend in Manchester - 2 couples. The hotel is in a great location - easy to walk to from Oxford Road train station - and very central for restaurants and bars. The rooms are lovely - very clean, comfortable beds and luxurious dressing space / en-suite. The staff are excellent- Gary the concierge was exceptional! The hotel bar is a lovely place to enjoy a drink in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Prices are on the high side but as you would expect for a central, high quality hotel. Breakfast was amazing - huge selection of quality items - make sure you have an almond croissant! We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night (which we pre booked) - Peter Street Kitchen. The food was excellent however there was a live DJ which made for a great atmosphere but very difficult to have a conversation (for context - 4 x 50yr olds moaning about the noise 😂).

Dear AWJ1973, How delightful to read your positive feedback about your recent visit to our hotel. We truly appreciate your kind words and the time you took to share them. It's wonderful to know that you enjoyed our convenient location. Indeed, the hotel's proximity to the Spinningfields business district, the Northern Quarter, and Deansgate makes it an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers. We're also pleased that you found our rooms to be clean, comfortable, and luxurious - just as we aim for every guest to experience. We're glad that you felt our staff, including Gary the concierge, provided exceptional service. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well cared for. Your commendation of their work is greatly appreciated. We acknowledge your feedback about the bar prices and the noise in the restaurant. As a high-end hotel, we strive to deliver top-notch services and facilities, which are reflected in our pricing. Still, we understand that not everyone enjoys a lively atmosphere, and we're sorry if this affected your dining experience. Your appreciation for our breakfast is most encouraging. We do our best to cater to different tastes with a diverse selection, from fresh fruits, granola, and yogurt, to hearty cooked options and delicious pastries. We're glad you enjoyed the almond croissant! We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your companions back for another enjoyable stay in the future. Warm Regards, Jonny Wolstenholme Front of House Manager

Having stayed in many hotels over the years. The best ergonomically designed bathroom and dressing area must go to Radisson Edwardian Manchester. Five ⭐️ I have stayed in 5 hotels since November and couldn’t quite work out why I was getting so exasperated getting ready to go out with my partner or family members and what I didn’t like about the lack of thought in design and ease of use. For example if your partner is in the shower and you are getting ready to go out, you need to disturb them to go into get your perfume, make up bag, brush, tissues, something you have forgotten because most hotels put shelves in the actual bathroom where you use the shower, toilet, bath or bidet. This is very poor planning, all dressing areas should be outside of this area and makes perfect sense to have them clearly defined, particularly if you are sharing these areas with others. Future hotel designers please listen, this is crucial to the comfort of guests. Radisson Edwardian wins hands down as the best, well organised flow space in design. They have wide ample space for all of your cosmetics, perfumes, hair products. The hairdryer, other hair appliances, razors ect can be used outside of the bathroom. Two guests can be at the dressing area at the same time. The hotel I stayed in this week had the hairdryer in the bathroom where you couldn’t use it! There was no room for my own things due to massive tissue boxes and hand wash and handcream taking over the limited space. I was using my straighteners across an area that had a fruit basket, tea and coffee, very un hygienic, but had no choice. There wasn’t enough room for both of us getting ready. Radisson Edwardian has two floor length mirrors, one directly behind the dressing area where the wardrobe is and one before you leave the hotel room, this might sound simple, but believe me if the ergonomics in a hotel are hard work, you may as well stay at home. I just thought I would mention this as it is of great importance to me and I’m sure it to other visitors. Well done Edwardian Manchester, see you in August.

Dear Global650001, It is truly rewarding to read your detailed review, highlighting the well-thought-out design of our bathrooms and dressing areas at Radisson Edwardian Manchester. As you have rightly pointed out, the smallest details can have a significant impact on the overall comfort and satisfaction of our guests' stay. Your appreciation for the ample space and well-organised flow in design is a testament to the effort we put into ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for our guests. We understand that the need for two people to comfortably get ready at the same time is a common scenario, and it's wonderful to hear that our design met your needs so well. Your feedback regarding the placement of dressing areas outside the bathroom, the allocation of space for personal items and the strategic placement of mirrors is truly insightful and valuable. We strive to make all aspects of our guests' stay comfortable and convenient, and it's fantastic to hear that we hit the mark in this regard. Your thoughtful review and your kind words of recognition have indeed made our day. We are immensely pleased that you are planning to visit us again in August.
