Winner of ‘Leading Hotel of the Year 2019’, The Edwardian Manchester brings redefined five-star luxury to the city’s beautiful Grade II*-listed Free Trade Hall. Following a recent multi-million-pound redesign, the hotel has been transformed into a lifestyle destination that introduces a new standard of service. Its 263 bedrooms are distinguished by ample space and floor-to-ceiling windows, whilst many of the stunning suites feature sweeping city views, entertaining areas and outdoor space. Nestled underneath the iconic colonnade is The Spa & Gym, a state-of-the-art wellness retreat in the heart of the city. Natural, tactile oak walls and a menu of mind-resetting ESPA treatments instil pure calm, alongside an expansive aquamarine pool with cabanas, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Remaining a stage for celebration and entertainment, Peter Street Kitchen captures the essence of the building’s former glory and atmosphere, winning the prestigious “Best Luxury Restaurant” award in 2019 for its exquisite selection of contemporary Japanese and Mexican small plates. In The Library curated by Assouline, a space for relaxed socialising sets the scene for afternoon tea, signature cocktails and a Parisian-inspired menu. Located in Manchester’s city centre, the hotel provides unparalleled access to Spinningfields business district and the shopping and nightlife of Deansgate.

Very friendly customer service as usual. Room service is excellent, food was great and done to our taste. The room was really clean, however there was no fridge, which was disappointing. Breakfast was served in our room due, which was a nice treat.

I have to travel for work. I am often in Manchester and The Edwardian is my favourite Manchester Hotel. The facilities (which aren't available at the moment due to COVID-19) are excellent. The gym is easily one of the best Hotel gyms I've used. I don't know of many other Manchester City centre Hotels with a decent pool either. The Edwardian has one! 😉 The bars/restaurants are usually stocked and the food is very good. Breakfast is on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and I personally think it's amazing. The rooms are smart, clean, often have good views of the City and the beds are very comfortable. I always get a good nights sleep at The Edwardian. However, the stand out for me is the service. The Hotel staff are friendly, genuine people who will always take care of your requirements with passion, prompt and professionalism. I do not know everyone's name yet, but from the front desk at check-in to the wonderful Rasmitalia working room-service, I am always impressed. Nikolai spotted that he was essentially bringing me the same breakfast every day. So he asked if I'd like to pre-book the same time each day, for the same meal. This saved me a bit of time and I appreciated it. It's a combination of the big things and the attention to detail that makes The Edwardian stand out. Very highly recommended!

Lovely room, the staff were all friendly. However, room with a view has netting over window that doesn't open, so difficult to enjoy view. The food was generally poor I'm afraid, not what i'd expect from a 5* establishment. Also the champagne that was ordered to be in the room on arrival was forgotten, which ruined a surprise. Could do a lot better, but the room was nice so there was that.
