Travelers' Choice
Winner of ‘Leading Hotel of the Year 2019’, The Edwardian Manchester brings redefined five-star luxury to the city’s beautiful Grade II*-listed Free Trade Hall. Following a recent multi-million-pound redesign, the hotel has been transformed into a lifestyle destination that introduces a new standard of service. Its 263 bedrooms are distinguished by ample space and floor-to-ceiling windows, whilst many of the stunning suites feature sweeping city views, entertaining areas and outdoor space. Nestled underneath the iconic colonnade is The Spa & Gym, a state-of-the-art wellness retreat in the heart of the city. Natural, tactile oak walls and a menu of mind-resetting ESPA treatments instil pure calm, alongside an expansive aquamarine pool with cabanas, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Remaining a stage for celebration and entertainment, Peter Street Kitchen captures the essence of the building’s former glory and atmosphere, winning the prestigious “Best Luxury Restaurant” award in 2019 for its exquisite selection of contemporary Japanese and Mexican small plates. In The Library curated by Assouline, a space for relaxed socialising sets the scene for afternoon tea, signature cocktails and a Parisian-inspired menu. Located in Manchester’s city centre, the hotel provides unparalleled access to Spinningfields business district and the shopping and nightlife of Deansgate.

My experience at The Edwardian Manchester was truly not the best for a hotel which is supposed to be 5*. Was ignored for 5 mins when I arrived. The receptionist was very non-cholent and unprofessional. The shower was not fully functioning and we were apparently supposed to be informed upon arrival but no one informed us. The AC did not work in the room, was constantly hot. Due to the shower issue, we was told we can move to a room on the lower floor in order to shower and then return back to our room which is absurd when staying in a hotel for more than one night. The tv signal worked for a couple of hours on the first night and then stopped for the remainder of the trip. Reception was informed but nothing was done. At check out was informed that the price which I paid for the hotel was a deposit and had to pay again. Which is understandable but no one informed me on this information. Guarantee nothing will be done about this but here is an honest review. Overall Poor communication from this hotel, a waste of money for a (luxury hotel) the Edwardian hotel need to do better for their guests.

This was our 4th visit here and the reason we return is that we always know that the hotel snd the staff will be perfect. No problems at all. Check in was smooth and hassle free, room was clean and very well presented, glasses & mugs and tv remote were in wrapping to show that they had been cleaned (just a shame about the amount of single use plastic but i do understand that hygiene and safety of guests is very important). The spa was beautiful and we managed to get the whole pool to ourselves at one point, the different showers with their different settings are very nice, we liked the Carribean storm was great! We will be back again for the Christmas markets in November and for a gig in March and we just know that it will be as good as our previous visits 👍🏼👍🏼 Thank you to all of the staff for our lovely stay, see you again soon. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, great ambience. Hotel is centrally located and close to restaurants and pubs. Would definitely be staying again when next i am in Manchester. Only snag is the size of the rooms.
