Shocking for a Britannia Hotel, it was the worst hotel I've ever been in,no water came out of the taps in bathroom, one towel for two people, tatty chairs which were ripped in bar and restaurant, lights not working in bedroom, most uncomfortable bed ever, give this hotel a miss

Stayed here for one night on a National Holidays coach tour. Hotel room was on 4th floor. Very quiet even when facing busy main road. Towels and toiletries were excellent. Evening meal was terrible. Very little choice as it was a coach party booking but everything was cold. Bar prices are excellent and staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent, big... More

We went and stayed here feeling very apprehensive after reading previous reviews on here. All I will say it don't take on board the negative comments. We arrived late afternoon on a Saturday parked no problem found the hotel easy enough. Went to reception two people checking guests in because of the queue 2 more people came and helped so... More

Stayed here night before we flew. Good points: Relatively cheap. Close to airport. Free onsite parking. Has bar and restaurant. Rooms were nice enough and clean. Points that some consider not so good: Hotel is a little bit tired. As its a cheap hotel there were a lot of work men staying there, who are working away from home. I... More

This would have gotten a 2 or even 1, but it is very close to the airport and has free parking, so for 1 night was ok. But I was not happy with it being advertised as having free WiFi, and yes, although technically they do, but they "cannot guarantee" this in the rooms. They state this at reception and... More

Staff were friendly on check in and that's about the only positive thing I can say! We checked into our room for a quick freshen up before heading out. The reception staff booked us a taxi and then told us that we needed to change our room because the maintenance man MIGHT be going to the one we were in.... More

I last stayed at this hotel in 1989 and I don't think is has had a penny spent on it since, My room was quite large but shabby, the lift buttons were missing so you could only get down to the second floor, then use the stairs to get to the bar or reception. Now the good points, the bar... More

We were truly disappointed in this hotel! Food in hallways cleaning of rooms still happening at 3 in the afternoon after check in at 2pm, building itself in poor condition and overall bad experience will be watching what my travel agent does in the future as this was a real disappointment!!
