Met some friends of ours here. Typical small English pub, counter at front, pool table at back. Felt very squashed in there, not many places to sit. Locals were lovely but the small bloke behind the bar was ignorant. Would I recommend? Not in a million years. Don't know whta the hotel part is like. Don't have any intention of... More

Came for a night out in Manchester from Birmingham with my sister. Clean room with en suite Great value room and friendly staff! Nice pub downstairs had a few drinks here before we went out. Great location in northern quarter! Walking distance to bars and clubs. Thanks for a pleasant stay, would definitely return :)

Following a recent refurbishment, this place used to be more of a backstreet boozer. It has wide screen TV attracting the football crowd and you can now play an XBox on this screen - not to everyone's taste. A couple of handpulled beers but mainly standard keg.

I went to manchester to support my club and staying at this hotel was perfect as it had good location, good accessibility and good grub. The room was very clean and orderly and the staff was very nice as we were shown to our room immediatly upon arrival, the pub downstairs has great gigs on and I would highly recommend... More

A friend and I went to Manchester on a whim to see a gig at the Apollo. We called about a price, £50 for two of us for a night. We arrived a few hours later, they didn't have our booking. They took ages to check us in. The room was ok for £50. Clean sheets. We went out for... More

If you're after anything else then don't book here. If all you need is somewhere to sleep in Manchester after a night out it will do and you'd be hard pushed to get cheaper. The room was clean but 3 out of the 4 light bulbs didn't work. They don't do breakfast. It's quite a rocking pub though if you... More

I stayed 15 and 16 May 2014 attending a Co-op conference. I have stayed in the area from time to time over the years. As there was no football (United/city) the hotel had few guests. I had a room at the back, first floor, en-suite. Gemma, bar staff, was very welcoming and helpful. The beds were good and clean, tea... More

Had a fantastic stay at the Burton arms. The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful especially Kenny the worlds best cellarman. Room was spot on. Burton is right in Manchester city centre great value for the price. Great ales as well, holts , thwaites and Taylors. Can't wait to go back. Cheers

Me and my partner stayed here for one night, 2bf the rooms were very clean, me and my partner had to sleep in separate beds (as there were only singles) in the room we were given, BUT the beds were really comfortable and clean. It's a shared bathroom to the whole floor so didn't feel comfortable having a shower there.... More
