Took my mum for a Christmas theatre trip and stayed here for two nights. After a slight hiccup of getting a double instead of a twin (which was speedily rectified) we enjoyed our stay in one of the recently refurbished rooms. Breakfast was plentiful and was served to us on day one as they were waiting for a couple of... More

Stayed at the palace currently under going refurb. Room we stayed in refurbished and was a stunning room. Restaurant closed during refurb, but plenty of places to eat all within walking distance. But beware, drinks are very expensive in hotel, we only found out when the bill came and we were shocked. Found breakfast to be Luke warm. But the... More

Stayed at the palace last night. It was a beautiful building, with real character. We were shown to our room, because it is all very confusing with the refurbishment going on. We had a large twin room, that was one of the most lovely hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Comfy beds, high ceiling, very smartly decorated and good... More

Well where to start with The Palace Hotel. I booked the hotel for my fiancés birthday weekend away and booked the Deluxe Double room. We checked in at the grand looking reception, and it all went downhill from there. After going up and down stairs, taking left and right turns we finally found the one single lift for the whole... Feeling thoroughly disappointed. Stayed here for a night to see Mary Poppins as a birthday present from my sister. Checked in and receptionist was very helpful. We upgraded to a huge room on the first floor and were delighted. Told receptionist we were going to the theatre that night and she told us the kid actors were staying here too.... More

This is my hotel of choice when I stay In Manchester. The setting is classic and spacious rooms are either modernised or characterful. Some older rooms have tiled walls, roll top baths and lovely high ceilings. The modernised rooms have everything you need and easily complete with the corporate chains. A excellent place to stay. Good late bar and brilliant... More

Fed up with corporate sameness I opted for the Palace on my most recent trip ypo Manchester; and I'd urge anyone who feels the same to do likewise. Because the hotel, with it's cheerful friendly staff, is utterly mad in every respect. The reception's towering architecture would grace a cathedral. The layout - the hotel used to be the palatial... This is a good hotel. It is Victorian - and clearly they have many rooms. A huge ball room downstairs is really interesting. I had a huge room - it was near a train station which was making noise. Good location in Central Manchester.

This hotel is full of luxury, convenience and comfort. Very splendid breakfast and lovely bar to unwind and relax with friends. Palace hotel has one of the largest and best Ball room in the town. Fully recommended.

Got the hotel through Groupon at a great price. Upon arrival we were told that we were getting a free room upgrade. The room was very spacious and clean. Plenty of variety at breakfast buffet and very friendly staff who are willing to cook things for you that were not in the buffet. Great location in central manchester and easy... More
