Stayed at the Britannia for one night, hotel reception was slow but for a Saturday that's almost excusable however behind the glossy pictures in the advertisements there's very little. The room was terribly small, outdated, dirty and generally in need of serious renovation. The shower was broken, the towels dirty. I did complain and reception said they were fully booked... More

Avoid. It's expensive, old and not particularly clean. One of the worst hotels I've been to and nearly as bad as a dive that I stayed in Blackpool once. I'm no snob and never complain but they moved us to a suite that was a smoking room and we had to be moved again!!! Why we didn't stay again at... More

When you first walk in, you may well think you have arrived at a lovely hotel, yes the building where the main reception is, is very grand, but that's where it finishes. Our room was the Plant Room, it had a door in the room where staff would access the lift shaft. All you could hear all night, was the... More

I have been regular customer for this hotel and had a great experience Antonio is the guy at the reception 100% of time time tries to make sure you are happy. The service at the bar was top notch by Peter, always making sure that you are ok, and makes sure that you have enough drinks !

Converting an older, elegant, city-center warehouse & office into a mid/lower-end hotel is asking too much. This lovely building deserves so much better. The uncomfortable, even disgusting conditions are clearly a direct result of the lack of financial resources available to maintain & run this hotel. Don't stay here. Don't waste your time - it's terrible.

My wife, daughter and I went to the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Etihad, and wanted a city centre hotel to which we could walk back afterwards: we had to return to Sheffield early the following morning, so we did not need breakfast. The Britannia delivered what we wanted at a good price, but there are a few health warnings:... More

The staff in the hotel was very helpful. There was one guy at the reception his name is Alessandro Ali. He is a respectful guy and very helpful. I was happy there because I found what I want there. The location of the hotel is very nice also.

Stayed as overnight stay before holiday .... room nice enough, tv, coffee, shower to freshen up, comfortable bed, but bit noisy as had room overlooking motorway even with window shut. Bar downstairs had happy hour between 5-8pm to make prices better but found farmers arms pub round corner to have food which was decent. Paid £83 for room&16 nights car... More

I think I gave them 2 star Raiting because I'm trying to be nice. Is a horrible old hotel very dated, no XXI maintenance or decoration in this establishment. I waited for around 10 min until someone was free to do the check in for me. I was given a room that was actually occupied by someone else, so went... More
