Have stayed a few times here as we love the hotel, especially at Christmas time. Great location for the Christmas Market's. Comfortable rooms and lovely surroundings. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. After a long day shopping we decided to order room service, our order was delivered promptly to our room by a smashing bloke called Rhys McIntyre who didn't...

We went for lunch at the Midland on a Sunday afternoon after the Christmas Markets. Great quality and lovely surroundings also the staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble. Well worth it as it was relaxed with good toilets etc and non of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas rush. The piano player was also excellent.

Took my mum for stunning lunch and was not disppointed in the Simon Rogan restaurant Mr cooper: although I understand the Chef has left th Midland recently. This is a real shame as the Sunday lunch was delicious beautifully presented, great value and impeccable service. We were not rushed and the food was excellent.

Relaxation room however was lovely. The treatment was 55 minutes but lasted 45. The room was nice and large but oddly decorated. Poorly finished and shabby bathroom which was...

We visited this hotel in July 2016 and were greatly impressed. The hotel is undoubtedly the jewel in Manchester's crown, playing such a huge role in accommodating various leading persons who have contributed to Manchester's development since 1903. (If only the walls could speak!) What better place is there in Manchester to start our Christmas holiday celebrations for 2016?
