Called in for a spot of lunch on a winter's weekday afternoon after a brief walk around this very picturesque Cotswold village. Very welcoming staff offering a full menu and lunch time snacks. Home made cakes too from a table well laden with baked goods. Opted for steak and ale pie (him) and a turkey cranberry and brie baguette (her)....

Would definitely recommend eating here. The staff were very attentive and managed to fit us in even though we booked late. All the food was beautifully cooked, traditional pub food at reasonable prices.

Only dropped in for a coffee but wished I were staying for a meal. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Very intuitive, knew what you wanted al it's before you asked. Tea and coffee good, not expensive. Lovely atmosphere. I would go there again when in the area.

The food at the Lygon is good traditional pub grub. Traditional favourites include fish in herb batter & chips, steak and stilton pie, gammon, scampi and chips. Portions are oversized. Puddings are for the sweet toothed: florentine cheesecake with honeycomb ice-cream, treacle and orange tart. Try the blackboard feature spirits and wines. The bar an restaurant area is 'cosy Cotswold'...
