Beautiful traditional pub. We stayed in room 1 and received a lovely welcome from the busy bar staff. The room was superb and had everything we needed, full of character. We ate in the Indian Restaurant which was excellent in food and service. Very reasonably priced and a vast menu. The pub was very busy and is a traditional one...

The staff that we encountered were very friendly and its a nice cosy place. Room was clean and comfortable but only had a view of roof (which seemed odd as there didnt seem to be anyone else staying there so thought we could have been given a better room). We had a meal in the Indian restaurant and that was...

Dear Carolanslow I can only hold our hands up for the noisy night you endured. It was our annual staff outing and proceedings went on far longer than expected on our return to the Volunteer. My sincerest apologies Mark

We have been here many times over the past few years and always have a wonderful stay. The location is superb, this really is one of the prettiest Cotswold villages, perfect for a weekend retreat. The pub is a treat, with well kept ales. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We stayed at the Volunteer in October, we were pleasantly surprised by the rooms and the small bar. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. Location is great for the Cotswolds Way or just a nice stroll through the very pretty village.

This is a well run pub/inn with large, modern rooms in the back, away from street noise. The staff were personable and helpful. There is an Indian restaurant on the premises that was disappointing. Sauces seemed overly sweet and under-spiced, or perhaps they were accomodating to local preference?

My husband and I stayed for one night in September 2016, before setting off to walk the Cotswold Way. Our double room was basic and a little dated, but was clean and had everything we needed, with a modernised en-suite. It was as described on the website, overlooking the pub's courtyard and smoking area, so there was the expected noise...

Been going here for a few years now . What a magic pub , the staff are great and make you feel at home . The cider is top , that's why we travel 20 mile from where we live . The pub offers accommodation and there is an Indian restaurant around the back . Lovely. Place to visit in...

We recently stayed at this accommodation for one night and loved it. The staff are super friendly and really make you feel welcome. The bar is full of friendly locals and tourists and we enjoyed a lovely drink in the beer garden in the sunshine. The rooms are very much geared towards walkers and are comfortably finished. Rooms can be...

The rooms are clean simple and roomy. The Breakfast although a touch early if you are not a walker are great full english with plenty of other options. The Restaurant is great Little Indian and full up with holiday makers and the Locals. The staff are very welcoming and the Lady that makes the breakfast is a little Gem. There...
