Trying to find somewhere reasonably inexpensive to eat in this part of the world takes some doing. Most eateries are restaurants with fixed menu's at around £40. This pub come hotel was one of very few options to get a hearty main course and a pint after a good walk in the Cotswolds. We chose chicken Fajitas, costing around £12....

Ideal English pub, fantastic staff and very clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed in 'OLD SLAP' room which was perfect for those looking for the attic style room. Breakfast was brilliant. Staff were very helpful and catered to our every need.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay in one of the Eves rooms. They do have character, with the sloping ceilings and beams.

Great little pub worth a stop. Accommodation is clean and comfortable. Meals in pub great and breakfast was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a genuine English pub stay.

The attic room was somewhat pokey & cold but the bed was comfortable & the room was nice & clean. Bottled water & tea making facilities were provided. Breakfast was nice although the vegetarian option was the full English without the meat - no veggie sausages available! Although not the fault of the owner there was a power cut -...

Bit of a sad one this, only went into the bar, waited a while to get served as any staff they had were serving in the eating part. When we did get served, it was without any enthusiasm. Rubbish wine and my husband said the beer could have been better. We didn't finish our drinks, and nobody cared. Wouldn't recommend,...

Have just returned from a 3 night stay in The Red Lion Inn in Chipping Camden. The room was described to us as a small eves bedroom but there was plenty of room, enough drawer and wardrobe space for a longer stay than we were there for. The room was clean and very comfortable. Clean towels every day. The staff...

The Red Lion Inn is such a wonderful place to stay, a real "homey" feel. Tracy, Reg and the whole team make guests feel so at home. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is great and the room that I stayed in is superb. One gets the feeling that you are more than a guest, you are part of the...

We ate here tonight as a change from the hotel where we were staying. Although the barman seemed abrupt he'd mellowed a bit by the time he served our meals. This was unpretentious generous real pub grub. We didn't have a starter, thinking we'd leave room for a pud..No chance !!! We were full to bursting !!! If you're looking...

Situated in the middle of the town the Red Lion is in an excellent position. Unfortunately this also means that it is a very noisy location from about 6.30 in the morning. The room was comfortable but unfortunately we found that the shower cubicle was very small and no shampoo was provided. The sink was also tiny and the water...

Thank you for your review - the shower cubicles are standard size in most rooms. We do however have 2 large walk in showers in 2 other rooms, please speak to us direct if you would prefer these if you stay again. The water comes from a combination boiler which gives hot water after a couple of minutes - I...

Stayed for one night with friends. Beers were excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Double room was small but comfortable with tea/coffee facilities. Ensuite bathroom was a model of space-saving to fit into an awkward space in the roof. Breakfast before we left was perfect.
