The Eight Bells is a very large pub/restaurant. It's nice and Olde Worlde, but the rooms are very well designed and laid out. We had a good meal in the restaurant which was packed at 6pm, but strangely, completely deserted by 9pm! Perhaps people go to bed early around there. Nice individually cooked breakfast next morning. Astonishingly, there are no... More

We arrived in Chipping Campden around 10am Friday morning , parked by the church and wandered 50metres to the medieval pub. Went in and asked the barmaid for tea for two please before we began to explore the village . The tables were set with cutlery , serviettes and wine glasses , a table was cleared and we sat in... Disappointed, I read all the reviews before booking here and was looking forward to a nice night. We chose starters and mains. Starters were good and my main, a special of Thai green curry with monkfish and prawns was good. Unfortunately the salad that was supposed to accompany it came when I'd nearly finished. My husband chose dressed crab salad.... More

We booked this at the last minute but were very happy with our choice. The room, although small was comfortable and well equipped. I loved the power shower and the shower gel. The building itself is quaint and higgledy piggledy with rooms, courtyards and beams - lots of character. The bar serves a great selection of beer which kept my... More

This is a thoroughly charming updated medieval pub/restaurant/B&B in a thoroughly charming Cotswold village. We stayed two nights. Our room 6 on the second floor (the first floor to folks in the UK) was large enough that we both could lay stuff out next to the sink or on night stands beside each side of the bed. That was not... Looks a visually attractive pub externally and internally situated just off Chipping Campden high street. Ordered a pint of ale each, unfortunately one was 'off' and undrinkable. There was not a great response from the pub staff to the undrinkable beer. We both ordered fish and chips which were at best average. The chips seemed to be the very basic... More

One night here. Lovely place and nice location. Great breakfast. Great place for the price. Would come back anytime. Smallish room for 2 kids/2adults but no problem. Everything was clean and the small pub was really good.

Situated just off the Main Street through the traditional English country town of Chipping Campden, this pub is great for an afternoon/ evening drink, whether you are a tourist, day tripper of local. Good selection of local ales / ciders and European / New World wines, as well as generally available lagers, bottled beers, spirits and soft drinks. Food available... More

I stayed at this pub for 2 nights with my parents. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast is served in the Pub and features the typical english breakfast items. This is a charming hotel and staff were very friendly.

We went here as party of five and it was tremendous. We all had real ales and red wine which were all excellent, along with a splendid three course dinner. I had faggots for main course and they were the best I've tasted in a long time. Staff were all friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this place.
