Disappointed in our 1 night stay here recently. I'd rather not leave negative reviews and wouldn’t be a 1 star if they hadn’t ignored my email (sent almost 2 weeks ago) and so I feel it's justified. Wanted a relaxing spa weekend for my partner's birthday and spent a long time researching. Chose Cotswolds house however unfortunately on arrival we were told the spa was closed due to a broken boiler. Of course this isn't the hotel's fault however it happened over 24 hours prior and I wasn't informed. I was told I was emailed the day before when it happened however I denied receiving any email. The receptionist then checked and noticed a member of staff had spelt my email wrong. Had I known I would have looked at alternatives and even drove past a spa that morning which we could have used instead. First-world problems not being able to use a spa I know, but it's frustrating when you put a lot of planning into a special day/ pay for it yet you don’t get what you paid for. We were offered a spa treatment instead however there were no spa slots available at all so I’m unsure why it was offered. Only once I returned to the reception was I offered a bit of money off the total price which although I was grateful, this is apparently ‘what everyone else was getting’ even though everyone else had been contacted! As I say, I totally respected that this wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it wasn’t ours either and I feel they should have had better communication and acknowledged this in their compensation. Our room was also very outdated and had wet walls from the vent (see picture). Good points: - Good Location - Staff friendly

Booked as a gift and the hotel were great fron welcoming us, helping us settle in and offering us help in booking restaurants. The room we stayed in was a junior suite and it was clean, well fitted out and very spacious. We had access to the spa but didn't use it, not that we needed to as the bathroom is well kitted out to relax. The hotel and rooms are clean ans the staff are very accommodating. Highly recommend a visit.

Wow! We came here for a spa break and we’re totally blown away at how amazing the place is, the staff, the rooms and the spa were all superb!! We brought our little dog with us and all the staff made us feel so welcome. If you are here with a dog I really recommend the map of local walks they offer, very well written and easy to follow and lovely 3 mile walk across the fields and countryside. We are both veggie and we’re super impressed with the food and breakfast. Thanks again, we will come again.

Relaxed hotel in the heart of Chipping Campden. Doggy friendly. Great service and no pretence. Food was excellent and the service great. Breakfast and dinner. Very comfortable bed, room and bathroom. All clean. Spa was good, but basic. No sauna and a small pool. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Electric car charger. Lovely walks, despite taking one or two wrong turns. 10 minute drive from Broadway. Thank you
