I booked a night last week, but unfortunately my girlfriend was showing signs of COVID I spoke to a girl in reception to ask about cancelling and she said it was £50 I rang later to cancel and another girl said I had to pay in full. When challenged she called me a liar saying had I not rung and spoke to anybody earlier that day as she had been sat with the other girl In the end she hit very angry and cancelled free of charge So beware of the stroppy receptionist

Got given a night stay by our daughter , what a lovely hotel. Yes it is old , so expect a little wear around the place . Post and pre lock down , staff could not do enough . The pool Was closed with covid restrictions but otherwise it was perfect . Evening meal was really good and breakfast again, no faults at all. We went out and came back for an afternoon tea , only fault was could do with some music as room was quiet and you could hear other people conversations but food was perfect again If thinking about it I would say stay hear

We stayed for one night only, but it was lovely. Although furniture could do with a little upgrade, all the facilities were there. The bed was comfy and bathroom very clean. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both excellent. Recommended.

Visited as a family group of 4 for afternoon tea. We were very well looked after by the staff and had an excellent experience. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Wide selection of teas offered. Food was plentiful, fresh tasting and of a good quality - we couldn’t finish it all! Covid controls were sensibly followed. Would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good quality afternoon tea experience in Chippy.

We had a lovely drive to the Cotswold house hotel &spa we arrived early but staff were brilliant and sat us at our allotted table neither of us drink tea so didn’t touch the tea sample box it was removed from our table and given to the next one where I noticed people taking the sample pots out of the big box lifting the lids and sniffing them then it was taken to the next table where the same thing happened in these times I don’t think this should be happening the food was delicious as was the champagne as I said my only concern was the tea sniffing
