Stayed as a couple for a two night break managed to park the car in the hotels car park although this may be an issue if the hotel is busy. Receptionist was friendly and efficient, our room was clean and pleasant although we did have a minor grumble with the creaking floor as we were woken at 3am by someone walking along the corridor but it is an old building. Food and service top class in both the bar and restaurant would stay again

We ate in the bar later afternoon and were very happy with the food. A collection of usual pub selections but very nicely cooked. Beef pie was particularly good that two of us had. Fish and chips was an excellent sized portion. Service was very slow from one of the staff but excellent from the other.

Just got back after week in the Noel arms second time of staying here location for our needs ideal. parking a slight issue as you need to park early if you don't want to park offsite reception staff friendly and check in swift rooms are a bit dated creaky floors etc but it's an old building showers superb and room cleaned and restocked every day. The bar is small but welcoming an ok range of beer and spirits bar staff as all staff friendly. Was surprised bar closed to residents after 11 although probably a godsend. Breakfast staff SUPERB warm welcoming and accommodating breakfast slightly small although you could ask for more dinner time is the selling point food is outstanding applause to the chefs but applause to ALL staff wonderfull no complaints and already booked for next year's festival to the management your staff are a credit

This review is for the restaurant only as we didn't stay in the hotel, We have just come back from our mini break and 3 out of our 4 nights we had dinner here, It was original only 2 but as the food and service was first class we had to change our plans We even went back for breakfast on our last day as our final treat. The food was amazing . They even de-boned a chicken dish when they knew I don't like meat on the bone(fussy &weird i know but that is me). I really appreciated their kindness for doing this as they were busy and didn't have to. Thank you again. All our dishes were delicious could not fault anything.I would also like to mention how friendly , professional and helpful the front line Noel Arms team were. Nothing was too much trouble. A special mention must be to Bart as he mainly looked after us and was professional and helpful, again nothing was too much trouble for him

Had a lovely stay in this old hotel/pub. Have to flag up the excellent staff. Nothing was too much bother for them. They dealt very well on our first night when the bar and restaurant were both busy. There was a really nice feel to the venue. Really nice coffee shop - with super cakes and biscuits. Food in the restaurant was lovely for both breakfast and dinner. Dinner was included on our first night, and on the basis of that experience we decide to eat there on the second night also rather than go out somewhere else . There are a lot of places to eat in the village. Like a of hotels might benefit from a lick of paint.
