Arrived quite early on a Sunday to Chipping Camden and soon found The Bantam Rea Rooms so decided to have a quick stop to sample a piece of the delicious looking cakes in the window. Once I'd read the menu I actually opted for s cheese scone and a latte which came lovely and warm with plenty of butter. It... More

The cheese scone deluxe was excellent, as were the two paninis. Lots of tasty salad though somewhat small paninis. Rather too heavy on the salad dressing. We were overcharged by over £10, as were a couple eating at the same time, so enjoy the food but check your (non itemised!) bill.

Called for afternoon tea and sat in the rear garden area. It is not a garden but a shingled area with tables. There is also some construction work going on as well. However the cream tea for 2 was welcomed and good quality.

Chipping Camden is a really laid back old world Cotswold Town and has several tea rooms. Bantam tea rooms offer superb gluten free scones which as a celiac is a real delight. Staff are very friendly and the garden at the rear was very relaxing on a warm day. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bantam Tea Rooms. Great location. We stayed in a beautiful attic room, a lovely large room with a very comfortable bed. We were given a wonderful cooked breakfast plus toast with homemade jam and marmalade. Owners and staff were very welcoming, thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bantam Tea Rooms which was the first port of call for The Cotswold Way walk. I was greeted on arrival by a lovely young lady who carried my case upstairs for me. The room was lovely (if a little hot!), the food was fab and the hosts were excellent. Friendly service... More

My mother and I stayed in the large and airy attic room of the Bantam Tea Room guest house. The staff was very kind and carried our luggage up and down the stairs (there is no lift, as this is a historic house). One of the windows looked out onto the historic market hall (built in 1627) on High Street.... More

Our family of four had our first ever afternoon tea here. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed a BLT, salmon sandwich, ham & cheese panini, and a ploughman's platter. Additionally we sacred the lemon pound cake and the delectable scones. Everything was wonderful, including the tea. It was a bit warm, being a very hot day for the Cotswolds but... More

Stayed there for one night in the loft room. The room was very nice with a comfy bed, bathroom with a tub, and a lovely view from the windows. I loved every minute of the stay. The food and cakes are delicious. I tried a proper English breakfast for the first time, and the same with Cream tea. I wanted... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Bantam Tea Rooms and Guest House is a traditional English Tea Room that offers excellent bed and breakfast accommodation. We are nestled in the heart of the historic market town of Chipping Campden. The premises was built in 1693 and directly overlooks the 17th-century Market Hall. The Bantam is situated on the High Street amongst beautifully preserved listed buildings of golden Cotswold stone, many of which date between the 14th and 17th century. Passersby cannot fail to be tempted inside by our display of mouth watering, home-made cakes which are freshly baked daily in our in-house bakery. Also all our delicious lunches are hand made on the premises. We pride ourselves on our impeccable reputation, locally, nationally and internationally. The Tea Rooms have a lovely tea garden which guests can enjoy from May to September. Guests staying overnight at the Bantam have evening access to the garden. We have our own private car park for residents at the rear of the property. Our stylish en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated with a comfortable and cosy feel. There is a peaceful, private guest lounge and throughout the winter months you can enjoy your delicious breakfast by our roaring log fire. Our rooms enjoy wonderful views of Chipping Campden.
