I stayed in this hotel for an overnight. I had booked a privilige room. It was great sized room and bed, free wifi, free tea and coffee, free juice in the fridge and use of the housecoats during my stay. When i got to my room the tv remote didnt work, reported it to reception and someone was at my...

Stayed here a few times, and it was only because it was the only place available and convenient, the last time being 3 years ago. Booked it this time hoping it had improved and I'm impressed at how big that improvement has been. Rooms, reception, and basically the whole place has been transformed. Only little glitch was my TV needed...

Stayed for a Saturday night and found the hotel to be very good value for money considering we only paid £45. Check-in was fuss-free and our room was fine, if just a little musty when we first arrived. The bed, TV and en-suite shower room were good and the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was a tad pricey but...

Was a bit wary due to mixed reviews but we had a lovely stay-staff friendly and helpful, superior room nicely decorated and bed comfy if a bit dark even with curtains open. Was a bit noisy late at night and we were on 3rd floor but just background noise from the clubs over the road-nothing to stop us sleeping. Quiet hotel...

Just off the high street this hotel is in an old building but rooms are modern to high standard. Staff friendly and helpful. It is part of the Ibis and Novotel group. Bedroom was very quiet (not facing into high street).

I have stayed here on business for 3 months. Great hotel, clean and fantastic staff. Rachel has really made my stay spot on and is an absolute asset to the company. Professional management team. From all at The Gym.

Although the girls on the front desk are extremely polite the night staff are extremely rude. No card machine in the function rom so was asked to keep going down stairs to pay for drinks. No waiter service for drinks. Therefore requested to charge to the room. Throughout the night was made to feel like we were ripping them off...

Stayed here as a consequence of meeting up with school friends. The Hotel itself is very modern and the bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and well equipped. In fact, the only down side to my stay was the noise from the streets outside.........whilst I accept that it was a Saturday night, the noise was pretty relentless through until the late...

Great price, great location! Although the room was very small and the shower lacked power, for the price we paid (£45) it was a very good hotel. All the bars and clubs are within walking distance, and its a great night out. Would recommend that anyone going on a night out here stays at the Mercure! The best car park...
