You get what you pay for. Nothing flash or fancy if you want a 5 star restaurant got to one, it's as simple as a that. The best day to go is a Friday as you get 2 sirloin steaks for £10 or 2 t-bone for £20. Don't be put off give it a try.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, they were cleaned everyday. Staff were also very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make the stay an enjoyable one. Only complaint we had was the chef could not cook steaks and on both occassions they tasted like they were boiled

We go here quite a lot for a family of 5 , 3 children the value is excellent of your looking for a la Cart on a £30 budget you will be disappointed. But if you want good honest English food on big plates you won't be disappointed. Staff are friendly and approachable. Can't reccomend highly enough enough

A get together on a lovely sunny sunday afternoon, we had a wide selection of meals from lamb shanks to ploughman lunches and good old sausage and mash. All meals were enjoyed and the service was excellent, would definitely return.

Situated at the end of a good walk around the woods with 3 grandchildren this pub is in the perfect spot to refresh the weary explorers. Fantastic value children's food , just £2.75 for the little ones to eat and two for a tenner for the adults. It's not a restaurant it's a pub and they don't pretend to be...

Went here for lunch. It's cheap and cheerful. Food is excellent and good portion sizes. Outdoor play area for the kids is excellent. Family of 5 ate for £35 including drinks so can't grumble. There is also some nice nature walks to either work up an appetite or for a nice stroll after lunch.
