This hotel has very large rooms and is very comfortable. The host is very friendly and helpful. There is a pleasant garden area with tables and parasols where you can sit outside. The station is only 10 minutes walk and then the train trip to central Birmingham is only about five minutes with trains about every twenty minutes or so.... More

Jackie, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. It was lovely getting such a nice welcome. She recommended the local Mad O'Rourke's Pie Factory (well worth it for great pie and a pint, and only 5 minutes walk) and told us how to walk to the Black Country Living Museum (definitely worth visiting - just 20 minutes walk away). Our... More

The room was warm and clean but furnishings and general feel of the place, a bit old fashioned. The breakfast is extra and served in a basket in your room the night before. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Good area for parking at the back of the... More

After trying the comfiest bed in the cleanest room ever, I went straight to the Himley Country Dump, checked out and stayed here with them. The Kiwi lady was a wonderful host and we will be staying here... More

We were greeted by Anne who couldn't do enough for us. We were in room 2 which... More

Found this place on the web as I needed a short two night stay in the area. A nice welcome and the place is clean overall. However, I found the furnishings and general feel to the place quite tired/old fashioned and the rooms overall probably need an upgrade. I stayed in room 1 which was very large but noisy due...
