Lived in Tewkesbury for 20 years & used the bell on a fairly regular basis , however I've now been for the last time , firstly & this has been getting steadily worse for a while now ,is the dogs in the bar area , I counted 7 last night people letting them wander to people's tables is not on...

I would like to thank everyone at The Bell Hotel for accommodating both the squash teams on a Thursday night after our home matches. This would normally consist of 8 players turning up late on in the evening all eating main courses from the basic menu. All our opponents expressed their satisfaction with the meals and the service was second...

We called in off the street to find a breakfast early on a Saturday morning. We were quickly given tea and toast followed by a superb Full English. A quality large sausage, long back bacon, tomato, mushrooms, beans and egg. All very tasty, and the bread was also delicious. I have eaten all over the world and this was quality....

The experience at this hotel was bad from start to finish. Trying to park was a challenge on a wet Wednesday and no lighting in the car park. After wading through puddles I got to the lobby. The next step was to page somebody to check me in to then be directed back across the car park to another building...

Soup -off, pâte- off, jackets -off! We only wanted a snack at lunch time and it wasn't a Sunday. The board outside said new menu available all day. Well sorry The Bell, I'm off too and won't be back. What else can I say? It was a huge pub and almost empty- I know why. Pubs are closing all over...

My five friends and I chose The Bell to go for a bite to eat and a natter. We ordered our food and drink at the bar. I was quite surprised to be handed the bottle of wine and glasses rather than them be brought to our table. The food was nice but no one came anywhere near us to...

It was an experience. Can't fault the hotel for character - great old English building in a lovely setting. Price was OK at face value, food was even quite good. On arrival, no-one at reception, pressed the buzzer and still not a soul. Pressed twice more, woman in uniform rushes past, opens the door to a staff only room (doesn't...

The reviews we read did not promise much and therefore we were not too surprised to find this hotel a disappointment. Clearly the accommodation was tired and in need of upgrading. Saying that the pricing was very competitive hence the title of the review. Some issues you can put down to lack of investment by the hotel group but some...

My friend and I just wanted to come into Tewkesbury for a walk round for a couple of hours. We went into The Bell Hotel, quite early in the morning. Visitors and hotel guests were having breakfast. We found some sofas assuming it was the bar lounge area and ordered latte's and tea. Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were doing their...

Tewkesbury is amazing , so much history . The hotel was opposite the Abbey which was great. The rooms were basic , clean but furnishings need replacing carpets tatty throughout the annexe we stayed in and bathroom needs an overhaul . The Food was lovely but the first ever there was hardly any food on the menu and as one...
