It’s hard to really sum up my experience of staying at this hotel as if I was being asked if I had a good time at the function I attended there my answer would be “yes”, but if I was asked would I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area I would probably have to say “no”. So I... More

"Our newly re-furbished bedrooms also come equipped with flat screen TV's and state of the art Internet communication". This is a quote copied and pasted from The Countys website. Maybe they have refurbished some of the rooms but to put this on, is a lie. We were booked to stay in this hotel on Sat 20th August as it was... More

We stayed here as our friend had a party in one of the function rooms. I originally had booked a double room but then had to call and change to a family room and the lady I spoke to one the phone was accommodating and changed the booking for me. When we arrived at the hotel, the lady on reception... More

Stopped here due to our maps taking us the wrong way. Great budget accommodation located central to town. Comfortable bed and basic bathroom. Staff was friendly and there was a bar downstairs & free carpark.

We actualy cancelled our booking due to negotive reviews on here but did attend a full day and evening wedding . We actualy had a great time and the public areas were clean enough if a little dated . The food was fine and everything was well presented .One tip I would add is avoid the draft beer ( horrible... More

I checked in Friday night to be told only continental breakfast served at weekends. That was reiterated with the breakfast serving on Saturday morning with only tea or coffee offered to supplement the continental options on display. I was staying at this hotel as one of their halls was the venue for the reception of my granddaughter's christening on Saturday... More

We stayed here as a family in May and to cut a long story short, don't stay here if its the last place on earth available! Cheap, yes Nice, no! We as a family were unable to close the skylight so the sun was brightly shining on us at 5.00 in the morning- After asking for something to close the... More

We stayed in Room 30 which is a large double room with a high ceiling and an ornate cornice. The carpet could have done with a shampoo, but only my wife noticed this; it seemed OK to me! Theskirting board and dado rail featured natural wood which matched the doors and furniture, and on the whole the room was clean.... More

Stayed for a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago in Room 33. Booked because it was cheaper than some of the other chain hotels, and because we thought it might be quite nice and boutique. How wrong we were. The room was small, with very basic facilities. The carpet was stained. The bathroom was awful. Tatty, bulbs not replaced,... More
