Delightful weekend stay Went to Village from an offer from our local Village hotel. Was very pleasantly surprised with the room and the service. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - eggs and brown bread get a special mention Annetta on reception was fabulous - great sense of humour and so helpful to us all

Friendly and helpful staff, well resourced bedroom and facilities, brilliant swimming pool, but VERY noisy lounge area and restaurant. Fine if you wanted to watch sport on TV - but we found it rather overbearing with football, AND background music being played at the same time.

Room was a bit tired. Many many alive flies in the window seal so when I opened the window in the morning the flies all escaped (can’t be helped I appreciate but made me think maybe windows aren’t opened when room is cleaned!) I very much begrudged paying for parking. That should be included in the room price for guests.

We had a very good experience overall. We only stayed two nights and the staff were friendly and very helpful and went above and beyond to help us with all our queries especially when we reported our heating didn't work. The pub/bar manager was fantastic and helped us move rooms and gave us complementary dinner.

We had my wife's 70th birthday celebration at the hotel. We had a fantastic meal for 13 of us. The staff could not have been more helpful. Food excellent hot tasty, and plenty of it. The price was very reasonable.Check in and out quick and easy, with a very helpful member of staff on hand. Bedrooms were clean and bright. Bed very comfortable with a great breakfast in the morning. A well run Hotel. A big thank you to the manager and his staff.
