This was our first stay at a Jury’s Inn Hotel, but we had heard good things about them, and so thought we would give this one a try. We got a taxi from the station to the hotel (£6) but I think you could probably walk it in about 15 minutes. We had booked to see a show at the Milton Keynes Theatre, and we thought this hotel was close by, but it turned out to be a 20 minute walk - so we got an Uber after the show! The hotel is in quite a central location, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We went to a lovely Greek restaurant called The Olive Tree, which was around 5 minutes walk away. The hotel has a nice feel to it when you walk in, with a nice reception area, bar and restaurant. We were allocated our room, and for some reason we were given an “accessible” room, even though we are both able bodied. This did mean that our room was spacious, but not really what we needed - and I’m sure that there were other rooms available! When we got back after the show, we were both tired and so went straight to bed. The room felt quite warm and so I thought I would put the air con on. When I tried to set it up, it kept coming up with “error” and so I gave up. I know that I could have called reception, but I don’t think anyone would have been up to fix it at 11.30pm. Despite the warmth, we had a reasonable sleep, and made use of the tea making facilities, and watched a bit of tv. The shower was ok, but just as much water came out of the side of the shower head, rather than down on me! We went to breakfast, which was very good, although in the current climate, I thought there might have been plastic gloves for as to use, as everyone was using the same serving utensils. That said, there was plenty of hand sanitiser available. When we checked out, I mentioned the air con and shower problem to reception, and they were apologetic, but I am just a little puzzled as to why we were given a sub standard accessible room when I am sure that there were plenty of other rooms available. None of this was a big deal, and overall, our stay was fine.

Place is okay if you are staying short term. What really makes it are the staff, they are professional and polite at all times in all areas. Rooms can get quite warm and the AC isn't the greatest. I stayed on the top floor on this occasion and it was a bit shabby and needed some TLC. Bathroom was okay and they provide toiletries. Toilet seat was broken and I reported this but it didn't get corrected during my stay. Breakfast is very nice and plenty available with good quality ingredients used. Bar is very expensive and considering there are plenty of bars around with much cheaper drinks with more availability it's not really my first choice. No parking allocated to the hotel itself so paid for a short walk away.

Great location for amenities, hotel generally clean and bedrooms nice , clean and very comfy beds . Other guest can be a bit noisy especially in the early hours of the mornings and need a lesson in being respectful to other guest especially when closing room doors . Stayed on business in which I am giving an allowance daily in which is stated in the booking that it is a rolling allowance . Please make sure you get this clarified with the front desk staff as I checked out early morning , made sure I didn’t go over my allocated allowance , but seeing it was 04:30 in the morning and I went over my daily allowance by 50p , they was adamant that I had to pay this by debit card ( even though I was under my overall allowance) I couldn’t be bothered to argue my case . Due up again on business before Xmas and again in the new year , I will sadly now change hotel due to this .
