I’ve stayed here a few times during the covid pandemic on business. Always felt safe, and looked after. The service was always very good, as was the quality of the superior rooms. Very thankful for the staff there, and will continue to use in the future.

I must have stayed at this hotel 20 if not 30 or more over the last 10 or so years. I remember when it used to have the weird atrium area and I’ve stayed in pretty much every room- so I know how it’s changed over the years. The good points: the location is excellent if you want to do some shopping and eating out. Really central and everywhere is walkable. Also the atrium bar/lounge is really nice these days since it was refurbed a couple/few years ago. Very nice to sit and work in. The bad points: the staff have never really blown me away. Don’t get me wrong, there was one guy this weekend who clearly loves his job and is very good at it (Dave? In the bar...) but everyone else is so flat and uninspiring. The hotel is looking tired these days and is begging for the rooms to match the public areas. Our stay was one for getting some shopping done and having dinner away from home after many months of lockdowns! It wasn’t expensive at the hotel but even so I don’t feel we got value for money. We had to search for someone to order food and drink from constantly. We left after waiting (no exaggeration) 20 minutes for the bill after our lunch. I don’t know where the couple of staff members they had were going, but they weren’t front of house. When I said at checkout that service was really absent, she said “you should have come to reception”- I did! But I got bored of having to beg to spend money. We felt like a burden. Hotels (the bar/restaurant specifically) need to be a better experience than just staying at home in my view. And this hotel isn’t anywhere near as easy or as enjoyable as getting a bottle of wine in the fridge at home. And they have the audacity to give themselves a service charge! I had to ask for this to be taken off. I think this stay was our last at this hotel. It’s sad because it used to be so good- but it’s just totally uninspiring now and the staff are so poorly motivated/trained that it ruins the experience.

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis due to its central location in MK. The public areas are modern and airy but I'm afraid the rooms are in need of and update decor is tired and worn. I hate the fact guests have to pay for parking I feel I'm being ripped off. Room service was available and the food was basic but OK, breakfast served to the room was decent and hot. I found the staff were very helpful and coping well with the restrictions imposed on their working day. After over 10 years of staying here I think next time I will try another venue.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady called Maria. She was incredibly friendly and outlined what was open/closed in the hotel and the processes that the hotel has in place due to the covid restrictions. The room that I was put in was a nice size for us with a sofa, TV and heating. The view from the room overlooked a courtyard type area which was surprisingly quiet and I didn't have any issues due to noise. We had breakfast and dinner during the stay and everytime we were sat far away from other guests to maintain social distancing and everyone was wearing masks. Social distancing and face coverings could be observed throughout our stay at the hotel from both guests and staff and I felt safe and the situation was taken very seriously by the hotel. I would have liked to have used the facilities like the gym and pool but understand why that wasn't possible. I do think the hotel could use a bit of an upgrade in terms of aesthetics but it didn't take away anything from our stay.

I booked two rooms at this hotel and booked two rooms which was fine all of us arrived in two cars upon arrival we were asked to put our reg numbers into a parking system which we did and paid for a nights parking. Now some months later I receive a parking fine for £170 although I paid for parking and was told it’s fine this will be the last time I’m using this chain of hotel as I’ve been lied to.
