Well cooked food in a small local pub in a village near to Milton Keynes. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Pub served the best pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord that I have drunk outside of Yorkshire!

We were two couples who recently stayed for two nights. We dined in on both occasions and had great food, great ale and a great time. The breakfasts were lovely and cooked beautifully. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms very comfortable. The en-suite was in need of refurbishment (hence my title) - however we were aware that... More

Good value pub meals at the Shoulder of Mutton, experienced several times. Spacious garden and reasonable number of tables internal. Pleasant service. Sunday roasts enjoyable.Rural setting as opposed to central MK.

People will flock to Little Horwood to experience something unique and driven by a passion for organic ingredients and brilliant pizza. You don't need to care about either element, what matters is that something with a true identity and run by people that have honed their skills in London has arrived on our doorstep.

This was the first choice for my husband and I as when we lived in Milton Keynes and we're young we used to visit this pub for meals. The shoulder of mutton is very welcoming for all, the staff are great and are so helpful, rooms all equipped with the basics you need for a comfortable stay. Fab cooked breakfast... More

The chef is very creative with exceptional attention to detail and presentation. Everything was perfectly cooked for my roast lunch (I can't comment on the meat as I had a meat-free portion but my fellow diners cleared their plates of beef and pork). Dessert was perfect. The web site talks of 'gambling' lambs in the surrounding fields but I never... More

We live just a short walk away and just recently found this place. Nice place to sit outside and have a drink. You can't eat outside which is a shame as it was a lovely evening. Food was good with reasonable prices. We'll be back.

This not a hotel review. It is a restaurant review: When we drove out for a Sunday lunch and decided to go to an out of the way village pub with a garden in the countryside, little did we know we were about to sample a level of cooking and presentation on the plate to rival 5 star London cooking.... Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your comments are very much appreciated. We have had the pub for just over 2 years and have worked hard to provide home cooked pub food at a competitive price. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your Sunday lunch. Our priority has been on getting our menu right so... More

The worst, most unfriendly pub I have ever had the misfortune to visit. If you are a family, if you have children, if there are more than 6 of you, avoid this place at all costs. Yesterday my son's local football team had won the cup, so the parents agreed to go to McDonald's on the way home. The plan... More

We are regulars to this once fantastic pub. The current management really have been doing well, however very recently the menu has been culled to offer very little by way of traditional pub food and favourites. The food has been fantastic up until this point, however, it now is starting to show the management are taking their customers for granted...... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are always pleased to receive feedback from our customers. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your recent visit. We update and amend our menu every 3/4 months and this has been done recently. We do not believe we have 'culled' the menu as you suggest but introduced... More
