Reception staff not as good as they used to be, had to ask for my complimentary drinks voucher (being a silver member) and she told me it was only for me, yet the voucher states it is for the silver member and other occupant in the room. She did seem more interested in flicking her hair than concentrating on the job. Dinner was good, and the room was up to usual standard, clean and comfortable, even if small

I stayed at this hotel with my husband the night before we traveled to Turkey. We went to the restaurant for breakfast in the morning . I am 7 months pregnant and requested for boiled eggs , the staff member was whom I believe is an Eastern Europe was soo rude , disrespectful and very abrupt. She responded to my request by stating that “ I don’t do any boiled egg, you just have to eat what is provided. It was very interesting whilst there were 3 gentleman having their breakfast and they were given boiled eggs. I requested for mushrooms and she told me that it was finished . I asked her if they were going to cook some-more, she told me that no , although it was only 9.20 and breakfast finish’s at 10 am . There was an elderly lady who was locked out of the toilet , for 20 minutes as she could not open the door . When she eventually open the door and came out . She appeared very frightened and quick upset , which was totally understandable. She tried to speak to one of the male staff member who was also Eastern Europe. The guy started to laugh at her and pushed her hands away . There was no reassurance or any empathy. On the other hand the receptionist on duty at the time was very apologetic , caring and compassionate. She allowed us to use the phone to call the manager David , who was also apologetic for the way we have been treated . I would never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel as I believe there is a lots of discrimination against other people who are not Eastern Europe

We had a flight booked for 6am and, coming from the South Coast decided so stay here for the night before making it easier to drive to Gatwick in the early hours. We arrived in the afternoon and we were checked in by a wonderful lady who was polite and helpful. We were given a clean and warm twin room which, although basic was more than sufficient for our needs. The small restaurant downstairs was well staffed and the food was what you'd expect. Simple, pub style dishes with a good selection of drinks at the bar served with a smile very promptly. Overall a good stay. The beds were firm, the pillows just the same and service was great.

Staying here at the Ibis for 4 nights. The first night the room was so hot. On arriving back from work I requested a fan as did my colleague. A tap at the door and to my surprise a fan was delivered I was not aware that I would have to assemble it myself. 15 mins another knock at my door my colleague stand holding the same box asking me for help to assemble her fan. Way to go Ibis customer service at its best. My next stay I’ll wash the sheet for you. Gob smacked

The shuttle bus leaves from stand 8 , bus G5 , the driver only takes cash no cards , cost as of Oct 2019 £4 one way , journey takes about 15mins . I would stay here again ideal if you are flying out early .
