Only used the restaurant facility. Food (carvery) was lovely and very cheap. Staff were a little over - eager and abrupt but this didn't bother us. The eating area was exceptionally hot so much so that we had to keep stepping outside. The two girls working on the bar were lovely. Not fabulous decor but the food made up for... More

We booked 5 rooms after a party and understand that you get what you pay for. We returned to the Swan just before midnight on Bank Holiday Sunday. All the lights were out and all the doors were locked. We rang the bell numerous times and saw no life. As it was raining and as a final resort, one of... More

Excellent food. Very good service only £8.95 for a 3 course Sunday roast. We eat practically most Sundays. We have brought many friends and relatives to eat here also. Very good value for money. You get at least 5 starters, we normally go for the pate. Then it's always a 3 meal carvey. Usually beef, Turkey and pork, always cooked... More

Went for a meal the 2 nights we were in Shropshire. The Food was delicious and plenty of it. Friday night Carvery was amazing at only £3.95 and Sunday Carvery for 3 courses was only £8.95. The staff were very welcoming and looked after us really well. We didn't stay in the accommodation as already booked somewhere else but will... More

We had a meal here for my mum's 50th. She has been here many times and always speaks positive of the place. How ever when we booked the table we were told we can have the main menu aswell as the carvery. However when we got to our table. We were told by a very rude young girl with darkish... More

Stayed here last night as we attending a Northern Soul reunion in Wellington. We had room 3. The room was better than I expected; it had two beds, a double and a single, both were comfy, although on the downside, the double was pushed up against the wall so it didn't afford much room. There was also a wardrobe, a... More

This is very basic, and the rooms are small, carpets stained and threadbare. There is a lot of noise from the busy road which is disturbing. There is a lot of noise from the bar downstairs which is disturbing It is however, very cheap. So if you are destitute then it will be great - otherwise go elsewhere. Cant comment... More

Room was booked as a last minute thing, I arrived quite late in the day, was welcomed with a fantastic warm welcome & asked immediately if I needed anything (was early evening), staff were very friendly & accommodating. The phrase "you pay for what you get" is highly relevant here. The accommodation is very basic with pretty much a bed and a small en-suite plus a side-table but equally the room cost is very low so all in all it was an acceptable stay. The hotel is on a busy cross-roads so its a little noisy outside but... More
