We have just recently returned from a wonderful two night stay with our extended family. We have never written a review before but wanted to highlight what a fantastic time we had. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We were given a delicious afternoon tea and homemade cakes on arrival - what a treat! The Old Rectory is a... More

A wonderful find. Everything about The Old Rectory is excellent. Nothing is forgotten and it is all a very high standard, greeted with a lovely afternoon tea (including gluten free cakes), beautifully presented bedrooms and a tasty breakfast. We shall definitely return.

Our first impression on arriving was Wow, what a beautiful place. The building, the gardens, outstanding. We were warmly welcomed by Adrian and Rosemary, shown around and then given afternoon tea and cakes (all homemade by Rosemary). Scrummy! We stayed in the Fosbrooke room which was ideal for my Husband who has mobility issues and the walk in shower was... More

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Old Rectory of St. James. On arrival we were shown to our room and then had afternoon tea in the gardens with all homemade cakes and jams. Beautifully maintained and rambling....it was a relaxing start to our stay. Our room was large with everything you could need. Big comfortable bed, bath and shower. There was... More

I can not even begin to say how beautiful my stay here was! I was getting married at the Hundred House Hotel in Norton, which is a 10-15 minute drive away and stayed the night here with my bridesmaid. We were welcomed in by Rosemary and Adrian who were lovely! We had afternoon tea of white chocolate and raspberry cake,... More

Wonderful accommodation, hosts and food, this is our sixth time at the old rectory and still can't get enough. Loads of great places to visit close by, Ironbridge and Much Wenlock to name just two, great for walking as well.

We stayed for three nights at "The Old Rectory" in Telford. We were immediately made very welcome by Adrian and Rosemary and treated to tea and home made cakes in the residents lounge. The garden is beautiful and guests are encouraged to enjoy it. There was a huge choice at breakfast, which included Rosemary's home made bread, jams and marmalade... More

Booked B&B for one night recently. We were well looked after by the owners with tea and cake on arrival and an excellent breakfast on the following morning. Very comfortable rooms with views over well kept gardens. Worth a visit if you require a base in or near Telford.

Simply superb. Adrian and Rosemary are wonderful hosts. And a lovely afternoon tea in their splendid garden. Very helpful about the local area. Very peaceful, and woke up to a superior breakfast. Room was terrific.

Loved The Old Rectory :- we were welcomed with a lovely afternoon tea - warm home made scones with home made jam and clotted cream, the most delicious fruit cake and a strawberries and cream filled Victoria sponge, I could feel the pounds going on but it was worth it. Our room and en suite shower room was spotlessly clean... More
