Could not sleep, bed too small, warn out that left us with a remarkable back pain for days, horrible. You cannot wait 2 years to change the beds! The pictures online are very misleading as everything else, luckily I booked one night.

Lydiard hotel is situated in a lovely location. The hotel on the inside suffers from its reliance on old furniture and things are generally dated. Dinner in the evening was fine, if a bit quaint. The bed room was small with 70s style furniture. This does need modernization. The conference facilities are fine and Lunch was pretty good.

Stayed for three nights recently whilst working in the area. I've been to the grounds of the house in the spring which was stunning so I thought I'd give the hotel a go. However, as soon as I stepped into the building I felt like "Sam Tyler" from "Life on Mars" who woke up from a coma in 1973. The...

This place is mis-represented on websites, it is not the stately home up the road, but an ugly 70's concrete block....do NOT stay here, it is dire. The heating clanks, the rooms are bare and noisy. The TV is tiny, the beds are uncomfortable. This feels like something out of the 70's that has never been updated I will try...

What a tiny, disgusting and dirty room! The mattress must be older than me and my wife combined. It was soo worn it felt like a water bed but with springs. Bathroom is soo dirty, pink mould growing everywhere, fittings hanging of the wall! If we hadn't driven 9hrs from Scotland today we'd be gone !

I have stayed at this hotel for a few nights almost every week for a year and am happy to recommend it to anyone looking for peaceful surroundings and friendly, helpful staff. I love waking up and feeling as if I'm out in the country, but in truth work is just a 15 minute drive from here. It's a lovely...

Stayed here for a family wedding, along with other friends and family members...we all have similar comments to make, as do day guests who attended the wedding... No problem with rooms being small and basic, nor with cleaning staff 'surface cleaning' BUT there is no excuse for poor maintenance and deep seated grime in bathrooms and bedrooms. Broken/unsafe chairs in...

Stayed here recently as I had a works do in Swindon and that will be the last time, Only able to park one car FOC in a muddy wet overflow so had to pay for the other, the room was disgusting with stained carpet floors and brown grouting around the bath and shower. We picked up a good deal for a 5 night stay. We didn't use the restaurant or bar but the indoor pool was handy, though best to check when there are swimming lessons taking place if you want a quiet swim. Room was reasonable size, comfortable bed, and room was serviced well. Friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom needs some...

Set in a country park and occupying part of Lydiard Manor. The park is lovely as is the cafe opposite the hotel in the old stables. The hotel really could do better. The accomodation block is much like a 70's hall of residence and really needs updating. It was probably as clean as it could be. The bed is 4ft...
