Booked for me for a job in Derby. Turned up at 9pm, rung the door bell, which was eventually answered (by a guest going for a fag) then waited at reception and rung the bell for about 10 minutes. I had to call the phone number which finally got some attention. Shown down to a basement room. Yes, basement. Two...

You get what you pay for. The rooms were clean and tidy although on the small size, they do have tvs. Expected a hotel set up but it's more like a guest house with one person manning it all and shared bathrooms. They allow a front door key which meant that guests could let themselves in at 2am in the...

Despite me arriving at an inopportune moment - the owner had a family medical crisis to attend - I was welcomed with great courtesy and given my room key early. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, all the usual amenities were provided and the stay, although only one night, was most pleasant. Shared bathroom, but immaculate; sink in room...

I have been staying in Derby on business must weeks for 1 year now and stayed in various hotels. I forgot to book my regular hotel and I ended up here. I can honestly say this has been the worst experience of all my hotel experiences. I didn't know hotels with No ensuite still existed. A tiny room, smelly old...

I have been staying in Derby on and off for a few years, and have found most hotel rooms sterile and the staff mainly clock watching, and lacking motivation. This weekend i stayed at the Victoria park hotel Derby, wow, rooms clean and full of charcter, and the staff absolutely brilliant, curteous, helpful, and most of all happy in their...

Hotel not too bad but only really suitable for one night. No kids or pets as rooms are tiny. Our double room smelt so bad of smoke and the walls are paper thin you can hear everything from the next door

Went with a group of lads last night, all needs met and a cool lounge to hang out in. The girl working there was as helpful as she was beautiful. Served me breakfast even though I was late, wanted to thank her in person. Would stay again. :)
