After a business weekend away we where looking forward to a relaxing night away. The Farmhouse left us with luggage stood awkward in the bar for checking in. Unsure if they were expecting us as no paperwork was evident. We had to clear up the breakfast saga which was pre booked and to be fair they honoured it. Our room had a dirty marks on the carpet and the white bedding had a dirty mark on it. We went down for dinner and unfortunately for us all but the chicken on the Sunday roasts had been sold out. Obviously the menu is limited but that eliminates half the menu with Sunday dinner sold out. Disappointed at the end of a long day. The manger did speak to us but no solution could be found. We did get any offer of a room exchange but to be honest we just wanted to have it right the first time. The hotel was quiet so I’m sure with a bit more care prior to guest checkin it could have been perfect. The manger offered to speak to us after our meal but to be honest we did not want any confrontation at end of our evening. A nice gesture on check out would have been if a discount had been applied to our £110.00 room. The girl on check out had no idea of how disappointing our stay had been. The manager was not present this morning and feedback to check out staff may help in the future. We found the hotel a good location for us for business but we won’t stay again the hotel was expensive and not very professional. The room was worth £60 - £75 a night.

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appriciate all that we receive as it helps us grow as a business. Firstly I would like to apologise that you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay with us, as usually we receive such good feedback. Upon entry we do ask that all our customers wait at our host desk to scan in and be told information regarding our covid measures. Then to be taken through to the hotel reception which is located just the the end of our main bar, we unfortunatly do not have a seperate hotel reception. With COVID we have certain measures in place to be as contact free as possible, this regretfully does include not being able to assist with luggage. I have also spoken to the staff member who checked you in and due to some technical issues, the registration card could not be printed , however I can assure youthat we were aware of your booking. Again please accept our apologise regarding your breakfast, we are glad that we managed to resolve and rectify that issue staright away for you. Regarding the room in which you stayed, this is something that is most definitley being looked into. We will always do our best to make sure we accommodate all guests and strive to give them the best experience possible. I am glad to hear that you were offered all other alternitives available as soon as staff were made aware. Sundays are one of the busiest days of the week for us as I am sure you can appreciate. Our roast dinners are all cooked fresh and are subject to avavilability as with most venues that provide fresh produce. We always aim to provide a large variety of dishes to our guests, stone-baked pizzas a selection of 7 mains and 7 steaks are all available as well as our roasts on a Sunday. Once again we thank you for your feedback and we offer our sincerest apologies that your experience did not live up to your expectations, we have already contacted you seperately regarding your stay to which we are yet to receive a response but we do hope that you will consider visiting us again in the future.

Lovely lovely time. Food was excellent, I had the duck and my partner had a pizza. Duck was cooked to perfection By the young chef “Ben” and the pizza oven was a nice touch. Had a chorizo scotch egg for starters which was a lovely twist on a classic dish. Food was served promptly and only thing better was the lovely service we received. Our waitress “steph” greeted us with smiles and polite conversation. She was attentive to all our needs and it was so nice to be served by such a welcoming face. We will definitely be visiting the farmhouse again and telling our friends about it. Would recommend.

We arrived Saturday 3rd October. We were put in The room Benjamin. My husband had surprised me & had organised a bottle of Prosecco & birthday tray for the room. The room was absolutely beautiful, so clean and the toiletries were lush too. We had 3 courses for our evening meal & Our waitress was brilliant really friendly :) all the food was so yummy & Definitely one of the best steaks I’ve had. The cocktails were delicious!!! The breakfast in the morning was also really nice. Will definitely come back. Thank you.

I will ensure the praise is passed onto both the waitress and the kitchen staff for making your stay as good as it was. Steaks and cocktails sounds like the perfect night to me. I visited tonight with my boyfriend, the food was absolutely gorgeous, steak was half price making it cheaper than pizzas and i couldn’t have asked for any more this evening. Ben Jones who served us was an absolute gem all night, he was really helpful and chatty and absolutely made our evening. Will definitely be back very soon, thank you for such an amazing and unforgettable evening!

Attempted to visit yesterday only to be told that food is not being served currently in bar or outside....the place was empty. It’s incredible in this climate that they can afford to be turning away customers. Covid safety is critically important but on a sunny day and empty garden is surely commercial suicide. Went elsewhere and sat next to another couple who had an identical experience.

Dear tjg1969 Many thanks for taking the time the time to post about your experience and we are truly sorry that we were unable to accommodate you yesterday, unfortunately you visited us at a time where it may have seemed that we were empty but very shortly after you came every table in the restaurant was full. We never like to turn tables away and will of course always try to accommodate everyone that takes the time to visit us but we have to ensure that we have the availability for our guests that have made a reservation with us, especially in the current climate of reduced capacity. I do you that we will be given the opportunity to welcome you in the near future.
