Stayed here with 2 friends, nicely situated near the train station, rooms are basic, but clean. Next door was a baby, which cried alot. They charge you £8.00 to park in their own car park and when the 3 of us enquired about the cost of adding breakfast on, they told us it would

Newborns cry a lot—but they sleep even more. ... Some babies don't sleep through the night until six months or older. So it stands to reason that lots of crying starts up when you're trying to sleep. I feel for the parents and I do sympathise how annoying somebody elses child can be when you are trying to rest. We do not ban babies from the hotel and I can only suggest that if you encounter an experience again like this ask the night staff if you can move to another room for the evening if they have availability however inconvenient that might sound to you. It will also alert our team that the parents may need some assistance to help settle things down in the room. If you do visit Derby Centre again here follows some choices for you to help you make an informed decision about car Car Parking in Derby. Location: Intu Derby, London Road, DE1 2PL Prices: 2 hours £3.10, 3 hours £4.20, 4 hours £5, 5 hours £5.80, 8 hours £8.90, 11 hours £11.90, 24 hours £15.00 Market Place, DE1 3AF Prices: 2 hours £3.10, 4 hours £4.50, 5 hours £5.40, Max £9.10. Bold Lane, DE1 3NT Prices (Monday to Sunday 8am - 6pm): 2 hours £3.10, 4 hours £4.90, 5 hours £5.90, Max £10.10. Chapel Street, DE1 3GU Prices: 2 hours £2.40, 4 hours £3.80, 5 hours £4.30, Daytime £7.10 Railway Terrace, DE1 2RU Prices: Daytime 10am - 2.30am £7.50, All day (2.30am - 2.30am) £14.50 Hotel car park £12 for 24 hours yet we reduce this by a whopping 33.3% to just £8 if you are a hotel resident which includes cctv surveilance and regular litter picks and security patrols. This is a city centre location by a railway station where I am sorry to tell you that parking is neither a rip off or free. It is advertised on every website that we can control, that you have to pay for parking and we do not force anybody to park on our car park, the choice is entirely yours to make. It is also your choice as to whether you take breakfast or not. It is served in the grander surroundings of our Sister hotel opposite and it is very reasonably priced at £14.95 if you walk in off the street without making a prior booking. Pre book on your arrival at the hotel the night before and we offer you once again a 33% discount to just £10 per person.Eat and drink as much as you want with full waiter waitress service thats something that I doubt many high street eateries can compete with on equal terms. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and to give me the opportunity to share with the community what great value we offer our residents who chose to park their cars with us and eat breakfast.

Good central location near station. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Clean fresh towels and bed linens. HOWEVER room was dated, shabby and smelled musty and unaired. Had not been hoovered or properly cleaned. Mould on (broken) window. Wallpaper peeling off and

We again stayed at this hotel for a night to do some shopping in Derby and not have to curtail the day and rush home. First thing was the £8. 00 car park charge which we were not aware of , this should have been made clear when we booked. Beds in room still had plastic clips on

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Surprised to read your comments re car park charges. It is stated very clearly on our own website and all third party websites. I will investigate your observations regarding the beds, not something that has been brought to my attention. The beds are supplied by a top manufacturer, they are all new within the last six months and are of standard specifications.I would agree with you that the mattresses are firm but again are of the recommended firmness for beds used in hotels.. I have been told that breakfast service this weekend was not our crowning glory and can only apologise for the wait and for not meeting your expectations on this occasion. I hope you would view this visit in isolation and that it would not deter you from visiting again in the future.

Room was clean and tidy, although very dated. Not as nice as the room on our previous visit but it was comfortable enough. Our stay has been let down by the dreadful breakfast! The decision by hotel management to close the dining room and send guests over the road was very

Thanks for your comments, not had an issue with our breakfast offering for a few weeks now but the day somebody forgets to put out the other three toasters and every hotel guest decides to come down for breakfast at the same time and a chef not turning up, is the day unfortunately we all have to wait for a table. I can only apologise if this experience has put you off visiting us again and I am sorry you have had to wait for your breakfast. We should have been able to manage this situation better and your comments will be discussed with the management team to ensure we are better prepared should a situation happen like this again.I am grateful to you for sharing this unfortunate experience and apologise for not meeting your expectations on this occasion.
