All staff were pleasant, some more friendly than others. As a vegetarian, the food options were very satisfactory as was the quality of the food. The room itself was not anything special and quite small but was good enough for my one night stay as a single guest.
Quite frankly the worst hotel I've stayed in for a long time. I had to travel as I was attending the funeral of a close family member. Upon arrival I found that the air con unit didn't work and lights in the bathroom didn't work. After settling in I also noticed the cleanliness was very questionable. There were hairs in the plug hole of the basin and bath, there was dirt around the bath, the showerhead was clogged with limescale and operated poorly. There was also also no complimentary soap or wash of any sort. The insert from the basin tap was also missing so water spewed everywhere when operated. The aircon unit was also clogged with a thick layer of dirt and dust, which didn't fill you with confidence of what you were breathing in, especially as COVID was at its peak. The management left running the hotel were basically the only reason I continued my stay, she was thoughtful, professional and compassionate to my situation and is a credit to the hotel.…
The staff were very hard working and did there best to make our stay as good as it could be in the current times I will be back hopefully in better times and had no problems with the hotel or the staff
Staff members really friendly and very helpful, the quality of the food is not good at all very disappointing and extremely overpriced the rooms are very standard and the WiFi wasn’t working half of the time in my second week
Absolutely disgusting customer service, tried to cancel my booking due to uk lockdown and receiving an email from them informing me I was not allowed to stay unless I was a key worker, to be told by the hotel manager “Don’t you watch the news” “that’s your problem, you new what was happening”. I booked this hotel around 2 weeks ago when we were not in lock down. I kindly asked her to waive the cancellation fee as I was not allowed to stay. She then informed me i should have chosen free cancellation and had I spoken to her politely she would have waived the fee, I had actually chosen this option when booking, at this point I asked if I could speak to someone higher to which she said I’m the manager , the highest person you can speak too. I then asked to speak to who she reports to which she refused said bye and hung up the phone, absolutely shocking behaviour, never been spoken to like that in my life. She spoke over me and I could not even have a conversation with her as she was so abrupt. I understand it’s a difficult time for everyone right now but that’s not how you should speak to a customer especially when your the manager, very disappointed I would have expected more from such a big company. I stay in hotels very often and I will never stay In a best western or recommend it to anyone.…
